what time are rooms ready?

sorry for the stupid question just wondering what time rooms are ready for check in. If i get there around 3 or 4 will I be able to go straight to my room? thanks for the info

If you get there after check-in time (3:00 or 4:00, depending on the resort) there is about a 99% chance your room will be ready.

If you arrive before check-in time it's just luck... like throwing darts at a dartboard blindfolded....

Check in time is after 3PM for non-DVC resorts and after 4PM for DVC resorts. Your room may be available when you check in depending on your requests. When we make requests, we usually have to wait and have waited until nearly 6PM. On our last trip, we made no room requests and our room was available when we checked in at 1:30PM.

We have always checked into our rooms during the morning hours before lunch. Have never had a problem getting straight into our rooms.

We checked in at the Poly last time around 9AM, didn't get our room until almost 6PM.

DVC has now said that check in may not occur until 6:00 as people are taking longer to check out. Don't know if this is the real reason or not (or if reduction in housekeeping is the actual culprit), but it can get frustrating as the hours tick by...

I think it is a crap shoot. We have stayed DVC and it has always taken longer to get into our room at BWV. It seems that they just can't get the rooms cleaned quick enough. Our first two trips, when we headed to our rooms, they were still dirty. Both times, however, we had incredible locations, so we decided to keep those rooms and they immediately sent Mousekeeping up to clean them. The Mousekeepers are so wonderful; very friendly and helpful. On NYE we were checking into VWL at about 11:00 a.m. Imagine my surprise when I was told we could head to our room immediately. It was ready. No one must have been in the room prior to us that day; check in took about 5 minutes total. I loved it. It just seemed to me that they had a little more staff and were more efficient at WL.

Most of the time I have been able to get into a room at or before official check in time. Only one time, at CR, did I have to wait until about 8pm, but they had a really huge convention check out that day and housekeeping was really overwhelmed.

When we checked in at WL on July 8th at 9:15 AM, our room was ready. That was really nice, since we had been driving all night!

In the past my family and I have had good luck with being able to check-in before 3:00 PM, expect for last December. However I will always think that the Cast Member who checked us in was not honest with us because we were told 2 different stories and we did not believe them since there was no evidence of what she saying. Also we had arrived after 3:00 PM so according to what WDW says our room should have been ready.

Last year we stayed at CSR and check in was 3:00 and the play was empty they kept telling us they need to repair something in our room so it was around 6.
