Going with my girlfriend next june, and although ive been plenty of times, this is her first time.

What do you reckon are must do's for a first timer?

I have been before but I am going with my girlfriend next June and it will be her first time.

We doing pretty much everything when we go, including Discovery Cove. It really depends what you both like. I would say you should def do all the Disney parks, both Universal parks, Sea world and at least 1 water park. Then you have Bush Gardens as well! :yay:

All the fireworks - Wishes in MK, Illuminations in Epcot & Fantasmic in Studios :)
The parades including Spectromagic :)

Here are the things I would suggest:

At Magic Kingdom
Pirates
Haunted Mansion
The Three Mountains
Buzz Lightyear
Philharmagic
Spectro Magic
Wishes

At Epcot
Soarin'
Spaceship Earth
Living Seas
Test Track
Eat at Canada
France
American Adventure
Norway
Mexico
Illuminations

At Animal Kingdom
Kilimanjaro Safari
Both Trails
Dinosaur
Expedition Everest
It's Tough to be a Bug
Lion King

At MGM
Backlot Tour
Little Mermaid
Rockin' Rollercoaster
Beauty and the Beast
Star Tours

Have a fun trip. Do I smell a proposal? :goodvibes :bride: :groom:

Discovery Cove if you can afford it. You also need to sample all of the WDW forms of transportation; train, monorail, boat, bus, etc.

Don't restrict yourselves to just WDW, some rides at Universal are 'must do's' such as Spiderman, The Mummy and Shrek.

Discovery Cove is well worth it if you have not done it before.

If you are renting a car head out of Orlando for a day at the beach. Florida isn't just about the theme parks.

Bigblue I've taken a different take on what a first timer must do:Take the paddle steamer across the 7 seas lagoon,I know the monorail is quicker but the steamer has the edge on the anticipation build-up.Take your time up Mainstreet, savour the sights, sounds & smells-they stay with you forever!Get your photo taken with Mr Mouse. If you can fit it in I would go to see Cirque at DTD-amazing!!
As you've been before I would steer clear of the sentence "wait tilll you...",we went with my sister who had never been before & it was really hard not to tell her everything before she got to the attraction.
HTH SD:thumbsup2

Hhmmm, must meet Mickey Mouse, see wishes, illuminations and fantasmic, ride the 3 mountains of the magic kingdom, the safari at AK, eat and drink around world showcase.
Then the shamu show and kraken at seaworld, the mummy and shrek at univ studios, spiderman, hulk, at islands of adv, one shopping mall, preferably premium outlets but florida mall is amazing, and one special meal like California Grill at the Contemporary.

Here are 6 you might like to try.......
Ride in the front of the monorail (It's free and worth the wait)
Breakfast with Chef Mickey (Just good fun)
Take a Sedgeway tour of Epcot (Sedgeways are cool and so easy to ride)
Visit the Disney hotels especially the Boardwalk at night (Lots of entertainment on the Boardwalk)
Take a trip to Celebration (It's free and its an experience)
Take a ballon flight (Early morning start, expensive but a life time experience)
Most of all just enjoy :thumbsup2
