When do they usually announce the new theme & anyone know what it is or anything??

Does a new them mean knew deals.....or the same deals w/ a new name? ;)

I think the theme this year is all about "Celebrations- What will you celebrate?"

That's why they are doing free admission on your birthday and have packages geared towards celebrating: 1st trips, reunions, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.

Ahh - I thought that was just another marketing thing aside from an actual theme. Thanks!!!
Unfortunately we were all born in the summer & a summer trip doesn't interest me much... :rolleyes1

This is correct. "What will you celebrate?" is the new theme.party:

If you have an annual passport, and your birthday does not fall on a blackout day, you have the option of getting something else pretty snazzy beside a free admission (Since, of course, you get free entry with your passport! :))

Aww, any particular reason why? So Cal is wonderful during the summer - and it's always fun to spend your birthday at DLR!

The Theme "When Dream Come True" still exist, as you notice most of the CMs still have the same NameTag from Year of a million dreams.

It may be wonderful, except for the crowds. :upsidedow

There have been a lot of treats this year decorated with multicolored Mickey sprinkles and balloon-shaped sugar decorations and new free pins (like family reunion pins).

I am rather hoping that this theme continues into next year. That way, for all of us who ended up having this pesky thing called life get in the way, of being able to visit during one's actual birthday, we will then have another opportunity to do so. :)

Yes!!! The crowds alone keep us away in the summer. We did it..hated it. Did winter...loved it - so winter is our go-time forever. ;)

My poor DD, her B~day is July 3rd! We will never visit DLR on her big day. She just has un-B~day celebrations while we're there (a visit to BBB most recently, a Libby Loo Do, a meal with the princesses) DS's B~day is April 20th ~ our trip during April of last year started on his B~day! I plan to be there next year for his 10th B~day, our APs are good until 5/11.

I feel for her! We're 7/14, 8/2, 8/6 & 9/1!!! There's no hope for us!!! :rotfl: I DID take DD to GK for her 4th b-day, it was a lot of fun for her but I just am not willing to go back in Aug again. Un-birthdays it is!!

What will I celebrate? I don't need a REASON to go to DL!! ;)

My DD is July 4th!! And this year it's on a Saturday!! Ummm, NO!! We did take her a few years ago (2-3) when it was on a Wednesday and it actually wasn't bad, other than the fireworks, which was obscenely crowded!!

Mine is Dec. 31st -- definitely a no-no for crowds as well!
