What the heck's going on?

First my backyard neighbor puts in the Taj Majal of all brick patios( hot tub on the way) and now across the street they are putting on a 1,000 sq.ft/and 3 car garage addition! Guess those low rates for refi are being put to work! I'm glad my neighbors are improving their properties and all, but the one across the street just seems crazy....from what I understand, the house will noe take over the whole lot, and be pretty darn close to the neighbor, also shading their property a LOT! This may be a VERY interesting summer.

I'm sure they got a permit for the garage. If so then it's OK. I would be sneaky and check LOL. That sounds massivem unless the house is large enough to support it!

They have a permit...our town is permit crazy! they have pushed the limit on the distance from the property line. I think the porta-potty in the front yard is an interesting touch. It is required...by permit.

Maybe it will catch on.....then you'll have to get a port-a-potty in YOUR yard, too, in order to keep up with the Jones'!
