What the heck is a lanyard?

Sorry, this is probably a VERY dumb question....what is a lanyard? I looked it up online and is it the woven necklace thing that you hang your id from? Or what about a lanyard pin or lanyard cast? What the heck are these things? Does your KTTW card have a slot to hang it from? What kind of attachement do you need to hang it from? I am so confused!

Yes woven necklace type thing hung from neck. They are used to hold badges, ID's or best thing KTTW cards!! I get them at trade shows & stuff we attend for work.

Most lanyards have a plastic case hanging from the end that you would put your KTTW card or ID in. The plastic is clear and the size of a credit card.

First off there are a billion different types of lanyards out there for ever price imaginable but one version of them is http://www.disshop.com/product.asp?0=206&1=239&3=122

The disney ones are a bit wider and have a character on the clip- Others come with a plastic holder to put cards etc in- Walmart usually has a variety of them in the Jewelry dept as does sporting good stores-

It really depends what you want- Ive heard they can punch a hole in the KTTW cards to hang on a lanyard or you can get a plastic pouch for it at most office supply stores-

Disney now also has retractable holders for them (dunno if the cruise has them yet) http://www.laughingplacestore.com/Product-2733.asp

a pin lanyard is just a tad wider lanyard (all Disney lanyards are pin lanyards) that people put pins on to display or trade- a cast lanyard is either a lanyard full of tradeable pins a CM wears or they have CM exclusive lanyards availble for CMs (and often on ebay)
