what temp do you keep your central a/c at?

I usually keep it around 74 degrees, which makes it cold in the basement but comfortable in the bedroom.

What can I say I live in Texas land of HEAT .
We leave the downstairs unit on 72 for the daytime and 68 at night for nice sleep . We leave the upstairs unit at 71 all the time. The only rooms up there are the kids rooms and their bathroom . DD is always cold and DS is always hot this is how we set it to keep them both happy
Now as for the bill we got it 3 days ago $447.00 but I think it is the pool pump and not the air .( or at least that is how I comfort myself when I see the bill LOL)

AC - 78 or higher
Heat - 68 or lower

We are blessed with a temperate climate and I only have to run the heat about 3 months out of the year and the air maybe 1 or 2 at most. The rest of the time we just open the windows.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only hot-blooded chick out there! My SIL keeps her AC on 78 and to me, it's like not having it on at all. It wouldn't be a problem for me except that my 2 nephews' birthdays are in the middle of the summer heat, and my DH, DD (4) and I die of the heat every year!!

My AC is set at 73 during the day and 72 at night, only to save some $$ (last summer, our monthly bills were $300+!), otherwise I would love to have it as cool as some of you guys ! Nothing feels better than having the cool air flowing and the comforter over me! Aaaahh...

It's usually set at 74. Sometimes 73. On occasion at night it's set at 75. I think all the tile floors make it a bit cooler at night. But the master bedroom is always hotter than the rest of the house. I hate that. Sometimes I'll just sleep on the sofa.
