Does anyone have a taxi cab company name that theyve used? For our flight home (John Wayne airport 7am) the super shuttle wants to pick us up at 4:00 AM. What the....?????? I guess a cab ride will have to do. Anyone ever used a cab? Any other ideas? Thanks!!!

When I stayed at HoJo's last month, we called the desk to get the number for a cab company, and they said they use a service. So they gave us a company's name and number and we used them for round trip to Knott's Berry Farm (I know, it was not that far, and public transportation is cheap, but we just wanted to be spoiled a little) and the return trip to John Wayne.

I'm so sorry, I can't find his card, but if you call HoJo and ask them who they use, they can tell you. It was a Towncar. The driver was very nice. The price to John Wayne was $40. Exactly what we paid a taxi to HoJo's and much nicer.

When we stayed at PPH, they arranged the cab for us. We had checked out in the morning, but were not leaving until midafternoon, so the bell desk held our bags and arranged the cab. It was waiting for us when we picked up our bags.

The fares to/from the airport are regulated, so it will be just about $40 from the Disney area. Check with the hotel desk, they should be able to arrange that for you.

Yeah. You should be there roughly 2-3 hours earlier than when your flight departs, like Funball said. Since your flight leaves at 7am, you'd want to be there between 4 and 5am. So the shuttle picking you up at 4am sounds about right. If you don't want to be up that early, why take an early flight? Not trying to be mean with that question.

Maybe 2-3 hours at LAX, but 90 minutes is fine for SNA. The airport is small, the security lines are short, and check-in is a breeze.

Also keep in mind with SuperShuttle that you not only might not be their only pickup, you might be the first of several. We had that experience last month...picked up around 6:15 for a 8:05 flight, but did nearly an hour of driving to other hotels to pick up other guests until the van was full. Luckily, there was no security line so we were still at the gate with plenty of time, but it was a bit stressful because we didn't know how long we'd be driving around before we even headed for the airport.

BUT if they are doing the super shuttle then yeah they will need the extra 2-3 hours...
