My son is 42 lbs. and very tall for his age. Does anyone know what brands of strollers are out there that hold a larger pre-schooler? He's outgrown his Kolcraft. Any help appreciated!! I don't like renting.

Giving you a bounce over to Disney for Families, where you'll get lots of good advice. :)

Well they are very expensive but Baby Jogger is a stroller made for older/heavier kids. We have the City Twinner and love it.

Good luck

Some strollers with higher weight limits are: Maclarens-45 lbs I belive, Peg perego P3 95 lb limit, and Kidco's 50 lb limit. Those all have umbrella fold. Some good joggers are, mountain buggies or Phil and Ted's Kiwi e3. Hope this helps a little!

joggers can be a huge pain at wdw though, because most of them do not steer easily. my neighbor just used a chicco caddy for her just turned 5 year old (big kid). it comes with a sholder strap and rain cover, great for disney.

I use an Aprica that I got in a consignmmet store for less than nothing and it works great for my DD 5 at 48 lbs If you are buying just for Disney trip I would suggest you try these stores. You can get a good name with higher weight limit for a small price. I have heard good things about Maclarens for older kids from a friend also. I looked at the Caddy and it had a weight limit of something like 35 pounds and my DD was already 40. The carrying strap was cool. Good luck.
