esdras said nobody would have Nature Trail to Hell, and CourtasanSatine said nobody would have This Song is Just Six Words Long, both by Weird Al Yankovic. I have both of those, plus 128 more of his songs on my iPod (I'm not fond of the polkas so I don't have them on the iPod). I bet that makes me a major nerd. :rotfl: White and Nerdy, you know? :teeth:

Okay, let me go grab the iPod from my purse so I can see what I may have that nobody else might.... (I could look in iTunes but a bunch of that stuff isn't even on the iPod).

Can't Get Away- Rush of Fools
Crazy- Exit East
Indestructible- Britt Nicole
More Than It Seems- Kutless
The Show- Hawk Nelson
Walking After You- Foo Fighters

I also bet that nobody else has 3 completely different songs, all by different artists, all titled "Let Go" .

Sounds like you were into 80's metal (like me) as well! :thumbsup2

Yeah, they had funny hair and Spandex, but at least they could play. I especially loved Vita Bratta's playing. A highly underrated guitarist. :rockband:

Thought of another I doubt anyone has...Balloon Man, by Robyn Hitchcock.

A New Game by Tom Hedden -- It is the bell song that they play at kickoff
at the Panthers game (I think all NFL games)

Posthumus Zone -- The NFL on CBS theme song

Yes, I am a huge NFL football fan! I have these two songs on my exercise playlist so I hear them about every other day. They get me pumped up so they are perfect for working out.

BTW, I am So excited that football season is starting!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

(and yes, I am a female ;) )

I am absolutely sure that no one has "Gaudalcanal Diary" on the IPOD. I just added this. This was my favorite band back.....um.....17 years ago..

I have two , but there is a story behind them.

1)HOLIDAY ROAD by Lindsey Buckingham
Vacation theme song that we play at the start of our road trip.:drive:

2)BALLAD OF NEW ORLEANS by Johnny Horton.
During our last road trip, I had just finished my midnight to 5am driving shift and was exhausted! As I was falling asleep, this song came on over the radio and my father in law started singing it. It was the strangest song I had ever heard. My husband was arguing with him that there was NO way this song was popular back in 1958 or 59. I was in a delirious state of mind thinking WHAT IS THIS SONG?????:confused3

It has become a song to play during long road trips.

DURAN DURAN still rules all......:thumbsup2

Out From the Deep - Enigma
Epic - Faith No More
Rock Me Amadeus - Falco
No One Is To Blame - Howard Jones

Hard Sun - Indio (the original - NOT the Eddie Vedder cover from Into the Wild - although I have that too)
Scatterlings of Africa - Johnny Clegg & Savuka
The Friends of Mr. Cairo - Jon and Vangelis
Uninvited Guest - Marillion
EVERY SONG - Michael Penn (all studio released albums plus a couple of live tracks - most people forget about Sean Penn's musically gifted brother - he's also somewhat overshadowed by his wife - Aimee Mann)
One Night in Bangkok - Murray Head
Armageddon - Prism
Spaceship Superstar - Prism
Human Touch - Rick Springfield
Dirty Water - Rock & Hyde (re-released under the band's original name - The Payola$)

Istanbul (Not Constantinople) - They Might Be Giants - OOPS, didn't notice this was already mentioned
Heart and Soul - T'Pau

Okay - that's waaaayyyy too many - but I'm sure that few of them are unique - but I'd be curious to know who has some of these "less well known" tunes out there!

Got all of those...love love LOVE Bob Geldof. And my 60+ year old dad has Istanbul (Not Constantinople) on his iPod, as well, thanks to me. It's a small step, yes, but a step nonetheless. :)

Love Surround Me (From American Dreams) Ben Taylor

Being Alive Company Original Cast Album

Love Song (from Everwood) Treat Williams

Lots and lots of random broadway people singing other broadway songs.

An entire album of Pete townshend singing with an acoustic guitar. It was a special show to raise money for a boys school in Chicago.

DH has the Slade song on his Ipod. (so no, not that very rare)

Some unique songs by popular bands:

Romeo and Juliet Dire Straits
Hot Patootie - Meatloaf (Rocky Horror)
Russians - Sting

Unpopular songs:

Real Men Joe Jackson
Love and Affection Joan Armatrading
Troy- Sinead O connor

This is one of my favorite songs. The main tune is actually a melody written by Prokofiev the composer and is featured in one movement of Lieutenant Kijé - Symphonic Suite, Op 60. If you love the song by Sting, you really should get to know Lieutenant Kije.
