For DH and me, it's ordering take-out at midnight when we've already done dinner earlier in the PM...

(Our next treat will undoubtably be those new Pasta Bowls from Domino's, and only because they come with the free Chocolate Crunch Cake!)

... We do this about once a month, and it's always spur of the moment and random, but it's such a treat.

We are also known for our late night runs to the 24-hour grocery store for ice cream, brownie mix, etc.

I also like to spend money on good, salon shampoo and conditioner.

When I grocery shop at Wegman's, I treat myself to a nice little platter of sushi. I feel I deserve it and it makes the shopping trip fun!

Once in a while I get myself a little carton of Starbucks ice cream while I am at the grocery store. Just a little treat for myself for all the hard day to day work!!

hmm...

I can't think of anything :(
the 4th kid did me in....lol

When I get home from work, I make the time to go to my back porch (sometimes with a glass of wine) and read for an hour. It's not always possible, but that's my favorite way to unwind after work.

I buy used books - online or wherever I can get my hands on them.. I love to read!!!! :goodvibes

The only thing I can think of is the time I spend on the computer....I should be at the gym or cleaning the house.

I just ordered $100 worth of Godivas at half price!!! Would have cost $200!!! I'm not eatin' all of em'. They're 'gifts!' :)

I'm a Sephora addict.

Free shipping with $65. order and 3 free samples with every order.

Then, I usually love what I sample and place another order.

It's a vicious cycle.

I'm placing another order for the Bliss Naked Body Butter Lite. Got a sample and loved it.

I also stagger my orders for samples. I might have 4 items I want, but I'll split it up so each order is $65. for free shipping and then I get 6 samples.

I think I need a support group. :guilty:

I never, ever leave the house unless it's for a pediatrician appointment because, unless someone is handing out cash, I don't find anywhere worthy of the time and effort it takes to leave the house with the 3 kids during the week when I'm alone. But, boy, when that package from Sephora arrives... :cloud9:

I'm wearing clothes I bought in college, but I sure do know how to treat myself to body wash and moisturizer! :upsidedow

This sounds like a great plan, you've got it down to a science! I love it!!! :rotfl:

OMG...I don't see how you do it with those 3 so close together!! 2 is rough enough...lol.. You deserve it!! :flower3:

I thought of my 'splurge'... About once a month we take some of my check and get some 'remodeling' things at Lowes :)

As a teacher, I look upon my summers as my special treat. I further enjoy the treat by spending most of my summer days in my pool with one book after another. Sometimes, I do feel guilty.... but not enough to stop. :)

I treat myself to a "food treat" almost every day, whether it be a chocolate or a small dish of ice cream, etc.

I'm not above locking my bedroom door and crawling into bed with a good book or my laptop. Bliss! :goodvibes

I'm also a girly girl and LOVE to pamper myself with body products, cosmetics (on a make-up kick right now), and new clothes. I'm not one of those moms that spend ALL their money on the kids. I have needs too, lol.

I'm trying to sell our home right now. I find it VERY stressful cleaning the house everyday so it's in "showcase" condition and then finding a place to hang out while the showing takes place. So I've taken to treating myself to an frozen coffee drink or eating out all by myself.... DH commented to me not too long ago about how these showings are getting expensive. Sorry, but it's a lot of stress on me to get the house ready. I deserve a little treat for my time and effort. :goodvibes

I love this thread! Two meals in one day!!! What a treat.

I also like the low budget ideas like moisturizer.

I usually go window shopping at the mall on Sundays after dropping my son at work. I go to the Asian supermarket and try the free samples. Sometimes I buy spicy bean curd deep fried and covered in sweet chili sauce for a couple bucks for a package of 8. What a deal!

Sometimes I go to MacDonald's and buy a small chocolate milkshake (fewer calories).

Sometimes I browse in a bookstore and especially the Christian religion section/spirituality.

Buying a new dish/mug at a thrift store is fun & cheap. I buy single plates that are beautiful and bring them to potlucks at the church. That way if I lose the dish, I only paid a dollar for it.:woohoo:
