What's the smallest (or cheapest) rental car we can get away with 3 adults and 2 car seats?

We have a Santa Fe at home, and I'm pretty sure we wouldn't all fit in that. What is everyone else's experience?

If you don't plan to have luggage, any compact or economy will do, but, you will be squished and the trunks only hold about 2 pieces of luggage. Go out to the various rental agencies and look at their list of vehicles and what they will hold for luggage.
