DS4 is in a queen (used to be in a full, but got moved to the guest room furniture when the baby came). DS2 is in a full (his toddler bed was recently converted to a full). DD is still in a crib, but the crib converts to a full. I am happy with the full size beds because I do intend to use them until they go off to college and i really think a twin is too small for a high schooler. IT's also nice because if we have guests, I can move the kids around and still give the guests at least a double bed.
And as a PP said, it's nice to have a bigger bed if one of the kids is sick and you need to lie down with them.

Now they're around 12x14 and 12x16 so the twin looked really small. We have family that comes from overseas and stays for weeks at a time, so with the full beds it's a lot easier to accomodate adults or families (with the bunk or trundle). When the house gets really full, our kids just sleep on air mattresses in our room. So far, the most we've had has been 18; but that was just for a long weekend.
