What size bed does your child have?

We are thinking of switching the kids to beds by their 3rd birthday. Currently they are both in cribs and do great in them.

The big decision is what size bed to get. I guess I'm debating between a twin and a full, a queen just seems huge.

What size bed does your child have and are you happy with it?

Thanks!!

My DS5 and DS7 each have a twin as they share a room. We're happy with them and I can't imagine those little bodies in a full. However I had a full growing up and DH says that's why I take my half of our bed out of the middle! :rotfl2:

a twin..

a full is too big, and for teh time they will have it, not worth it. When she outgrow the twin, then she can get a full, but that should be in highschool.

our little one's crib converts to a full size, so he will get a full size.

My two older boys have twins. I would have gone full, but there rooms are on the small side.

DS moved from crib to twin captains bed. DD is still in the crib and even though it converts to work with a full size bed, we will be buying her a twin bed.

LOL I thought for sure this thread would be about getting a toddler bed or a twin sized bed.

Anyway, we have twins for all of our boys, and yes we are happy. My dh and I both slept in twins until we were adults, they are fine.

I had a full-size bed from the time I moved out of my crib. I never had a twin-size until I went away to college. Boy did I miss my nice big bed!!

We upgraded from a full to a queen about the time DD was ready to move to a big girl bed so she had our full for about a year. She was a roller and we were worried we'd find her on the floor every night if we got her a twin. She absolutely hated those barriers that keep you from rolling out, so we did what we thought would work. A year later she picked out a new bedroom set and wanted a twin. There was so much more space in her room and she's never rolled out of it, thankfully.

2 of my kids have full beds and my middle dd has a twin b/c that's all we can fit in her room. I bought their bedroom sets with the intentions of them using them until college so I wanted the bigger beds.

Started with a twin, she wouldn't sleep in her room in it. Switched out to a full, so we can lay down with her at night until she goes to sleep and she loves it!!!!

Our girls each have their own room - and if you can fit them - I'd say go FULL. They are a great size for when they are young and as they grow to pre-teens......

We just got our DS(3) a full size for his first big boy bed.

DS (3yrs) and DS (1yrs) are both in full beds. Our thinking was when family comes to visit (which is frequently), the adults prefer to sleep in bigger beds - and the twin size just wouldn't cut it for the grandparents or aunts/uncles. Well, I suppose it could be done - but I'd rather not think about it :rotfl2:

We moved Avery from the crib to a full size bed. She hasn't had any trouble with the size and I really appreciate the extra space if she's not feeling well or having a hard time sleeping so I can go and lay with her with out fighting for space.

All of my boys have twins, the two younger have twin bunk beds, the two older have their beds separate because their ceiling is too low in their room for bunks. DD had a twin until she was 13, then MIL wanted to change her guest room into something else so she gave us the furniture out of it for DD so now she has a full, but for some reason she sleeps in it sideways :confused3.

I suppose I could be considered a child (maybe). I have a full but I only sleep on half of it.

my 5yo has a toddler bed. she's been telling me its getting too small for her. Unfortunately its the only thing that will fit in our room
