should I book everything through disneyland.com or is there cheaper sites for the dining plans and tickets?? I am going sep 4-11 and have gotten a good deal for tickets 5 for 3 and the DLH 5 for 3 nights!!!

get away today, way cheaper!! you get the same great deals for some times hundreds less. my package was hundreds cheaper then disneyland.com

depends what plan you are getting you can only get dinning plan from Disneyland

but getaway sell's cheaper character meal vouchers an this year (gasp) because of money we are skipping the meal plan an just getting gift cards for the food an spending money an for the meals we want we are getting at get away today .com

okay this is weird disneyland.com is cheaper and includes a meal plan, GAT is the same price but no meal plan... :confused3

If you have a Costco or AAA membership you can book a package through them. We are doing Costco because it includes a free character meal for everyone in the package as well as one $20 gift card (per package). :thumbsup2

well i liked it I would do it again I'm just trying to cut mine down this year so i don't feel so guilty.

If you are going to the character meals or BB or at least one nice place an know how to use your snack vouchers(1 hint pays for a kids meal or almost all) an adults can eat kids meals too.))
we loved our character breakfast at storytellers last year an will do that an princess. breakfast this time. buying from getaway
Disney land has a sell right now that they wont have when i go well. yet (if they do I may book with them)

Is it worth it to not worry about food an don't carry cash Yes I like them
They can save you money. Or just about the same. Just know you get no change back I never felt like i lost money

ok thanks Jade!!!! I am booking with DL.com we are staying at DLH this time we stayed at HOJO's last time it's nice... BUT I prefer onsite! :)

Anyway thanks so much about the hint!! I eat kids meal all the time at home!! haha

Meal plan is not worth it at DL. Unlike WDW, it's just vouchers. The problem is, they won't give you change back from the vouchers-- say you have a $10 voucher you're using for a snack and the cost is $7.50-- you don't get change back. Most people just use credit cards, or if they are budgeting a certain amount for food, a gift card in that amount.

As far as booking-- try booking everything separately and see if you can come up cheaper. You might go to GAT for character meals for a couple of bucks' savings.

HTH! :)

We booked through Costco too. We got a better deal than GAT, no S/H fee, plus the free Character breakfast and $20 gc.

ETA: The website redirects you to DLR site with Costco prices so you can add the DP.

I have used the meal plan several times and did like it. The reason I got it was because It was added to my packages and it was convenient. No you do not get change back, but then I just went over a few dollars and paid the extra cash. so I was not out any money at all. I loved them, but Im not going thru diney this year so I do not get them.

yeah we normally just use credit... I just wanted everything paid for in advance!

Second the above, plus Costco prices include taxes and resort fees. So the price you see is the price you pay, period. You also get the lanyards and an early morning, and a few other things. You can add meals to the Costco plans too. The prices right now are...Character breakfast for a family of 5 (2 adults 3 kids) is $119.09, Disney Princess Lunch and Disney Princess Dinner for a family of 5 is $131.23, and Goofy's dinner for a family of 5 is $135.25. Hope that helps.:yay:

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that Costco and Sam's Club are the same company and that your card can be used for either one.

We also went through Costco for our package, and just the free character breakfast alone is saving us a couple hundred, not to mention all of the other perks. Costco Travel is affiliated with Walt Disney Travel, so you get things like Morning Madness that you don't get through alot of the other companies.
