What shows do you think TvLand should start airing?

:wave2:
Hi, all you Mama's Family fans! Glad to finally "meet" others who find the show as entertaining as I do. For some reason, people around these parts don't seem to appreciate it. Maybe it hits too close to home for them, but that's one reason I love the show - it reminds me of folks I know! I, too, grew up watching the Family sketches on Carol Burnett, and I'm glad TV Land finally included that show in the lineup.

There are so many other great shows that have been mentioned here. And I should have included Medical Center - Chad Everett is the first actor I ever had a crush on (even though I was a mere child when the show was on!)

I love this thread - I'm such a retro-TV person!

I'd love for the to pick up The Wonder Years!!! Nick at Nite used to show it, but they quit.

Whoever was looking for ER, it airs locally in syndication and on TNT, so if the timing is right you can get your fill of Dr. Ross.

My husband and I were talking about this recently. When we first got married (in 1990) Nick at Nite showed things like Patty Duke, Dobie Gillis, Green Acres, and Donna Reed. I LOVE those shows- they bring up great memories of watching them with my mom (as re-runs) when I was little. I would like to get to watch those things with my children so they can learn about the 50's, too. Now they have things like Full House on Nick at Nite (makes me feel old). Even on TV Land, they are getting lots of 80's things. I vote they get another channel for 50's and 60's things- LOL!!!
I am so glad to hear they are bringing back Green Acres. That is one of the funniest shows to me.
As for 80's things, I would love to be able to watch Moonlighting and Hart to Hart- two of my favorite shows ever.
I also wish DD could watch Lassie. I love that commercial they have with Lassie doing the kung fu moves- it really makes me giggle.

I used to love watching "Hazel". Does anyone else remember this show? I would also like to see the other show that Lucy did-cant' remember the exact name-I think The Lucy Show. It was the one where she worked in a bank with Mr. Carmichael. They need to scrap most of what is on tv now and bring back all the old shows!

I am so with you! Hazel and The Lucy Show. Remember the one where Wayne Newton was the cow hand?

Also would love to see Family Affair. I wanted to be Cissy! and
Courtship of Eddie's Father. Loved Eddie.

I second the vote for "Family Affair."
And I would love to see "Here Come the Brides", with Bobby Sherman. That was definitely one of my favorites. Also, "The Monroes", with Barbara Hershey. And how 'bout "American Bandstand?" I'd love to see some of those oldies!! :)

The Mary Tyler Moore Show!!!!!! I bought the first season on DVD and my daughter and I have just about worn it out. As far as I know, there are no plans to put the other seasons on DVD.:(

It was one of my favorite shows in the 70's. I Love Lucy should be aired 24 hours a day also! But I have all the episodes so I can play them whenever I want!:)

I wish 30something would be aired again- I think it was going at one time on Lifetime network.

Petticoat Junction and Family Affair

1.Starsky and Hutch
2.Magnum PI
3.Dukes of Hazzard
4.Creature Feature
5.Son of Svengoolie
6. Dallas

CHIPS ,Square Pegs, ( I know I am stuck in the 80's) I would love to see that old show Emergency . I remember having the biggest crush on one of the Firemen on there :teeth: .

Wishing all a Tagged night

I'd love to see ( for old time's sake;) ) Family Affair, Petticoat Junction, Laugh-In, and Lassie to name a few!!!:D

Courtship of Eddie's Father
Family Affair
Family
Eight is Enough

Another vote for Family Affair and one for J. J. Starbuck starring Dale Robertson. It was kind of a feel good detective story. And how about Mann and Machine? I loved that show.

So many great ideas.

I wish they could bring back some of the old mini series. Like Centennial and Master of the Game and Chiefs. Some of them are on DVD, but very few.

Barney Miller....great cast, great writing.

Speaking of American Bandstand....how old were you when you realized that the performers were not really singing and playing their instruments. I used to think it was cool how they could keep playing quieter and quiter until the song faded out.
