Hazel used to be on Thuirsday nights at 9:30 on NBC. That was over 40 years ago and I still remember the time, day and channel.
There are not more then one or two TV shows on today that I even remember what day they are on.
I'm a child of the 50's and 60's. I'd love to see
Dr. Kildare
Ben Kasey
The Danny Thomas Show
The original Make Room for Daddy - before Marjory Lord was the wife
The People's Choice - remember Cleo the basset hound dog?
"That Girl"(I wanted to be Marlo Thomas), "Hazel," "The Patty Duke Show," "Petticoat Junction," "My Three Sons," "Courtship of Eddie's Father" (I had a wicked crush on Bell Bixby ), to name a few.
I love the really old TV shows. Remember "The Mothers in Law?" How about "Bachelor Father?" "My Favorite Martian" (with Bill Bixby, again! )?
Riptide, Hardcastle and McCormick, Simon and Simon, SeaQuest, Swat, Rookies, Blake's Seven, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Starsky and Hutch, Welcome Back, Kotter...hmm, I'm sure I missed a few.
Also, there was a rescue show that lasted one season, I think it had a helicopter - Robert 241 or something like that.
And there was a comedy about Robin Hood and his merry men. The Way Things Were? or to that affect...
No one has mentioned Charlies Angels. I was about 12 when those started airing and no one was a bigger fan than me. I got the first season on DVD (OM GOSH how cheesy) but I sure loved them when I was a kid. I wanted to be them!
Someone mentioned Gummy Bears.... when my son was tiny I was living on the Air Force Base while his dad was in training and I used to wake up in the morning and watch that with him. (I really enjoyed it )
Now my little boy is at the same air force base training 17 years later! Where does the time go??
Several of the shows mentioned have already been on TV Land but only for a short duration. I read on the website several years ago that they have permission to show these programs for a certain amount of time and once the time is up, that's it. I wish they would put dates in the old tv commercials. I try to date them for my son, but some of them are difficult.
