What should we do on arrival day?

Ft. Wilderness has a sing-a-long with Chip and Dale. It's just a boat ride away from CR. you can introduce your little ones to furry characters before waiting in line. Chip and Dale usually wander around so it's easy to get away if someone freaks out. After the sing-a-long is movie time at the outdoor theatre area or you could go back to CR to turn in early.

My plane lands at 3:00 pm. The time we get to the hotel and feed the kids I feel like it's late but I don't want to waste the evening. What should I do or what parks to go? MK closes at 7:00 pm that day so it's not worth to go.. is it???

We are staying at the Contemporary. And I have 2 small kids so I don't want to travel far. What can we do? Any suggestions? Thanks!

We always rent a Lemo (town car) (Happy Lemo is a good one) for our transfers to and from MCO for this very reason. It's quick. The driver's always waiting for you when you get there. As soon as we get to our resort, we check in, store our bags without going to our room, and head to the parks. When we get back that evening, we call and our bags are brought to our room in just a few minutes. If I were you, I would plan on eating a quick, early meal/snack some place and heading to the MK for the parade and fireworks. There's no reason you couldn't get to the MK by 5:30 and that includes eating a quick meal/snack. Doing the parade and fireworks is a great way to get your trip started.

With young kids, I'd keep it a lowkey arrival day and would consider taking the monorail to explore the monorail resorts or maybe the boat to FW and WL. I'd call it and early night to get settled in the room, do an early bedtime, and hit the ground running with fresh energy the next morning.

If you have a park ticket, you could go to the MK for a couple of hours--maybe ride the train, see Philharmaguc, meet a character. I'd still do an early bedtime.

I really want to go to MK but wasn't sure if 5:30 was late to go. I believe the park closes 7:00 pm that day. So you think it's worth it?

The restaurant at the Wilderness Lodge with the silly servers is called Whispering Canyon. You might be able to get a reservation there, worth a try. This is what we are doing on our arrival night. It gets you into the Disney spirit. Beautiful hotel to look around too. Anyway, that's my suggestion, have dinner in one of the resorts - LOTS of good options, and explore your hotel. You can also take the monorail to the Poly (easy transportation) which a great one to explore as well. I know it doesn't seem like that is "doing something" but it really is.

our flight also arrives at 3pm on a day that MK closes at 7pm

my girls (6 & 3) will be exhausted, overstimulated and slightly crazy from a day of surprises, excitement and travel!!!

i have planned a "resort" evening.
i am going to let them swim out all of that pent up emotion while hubby and i relax and enjoy a poolside cocktail or two.

a good nights sleep will set us up for our early breakfast ressie at CRT!!!!
i want bright eyed energetic little girls taking that very first walk up main street!!!!
