What should we do on 10/31?

I am going to WDW for 9 days with my 5 year old twin girls. (My dh can't come b/c his dad recently died and he is running the family business.)

I think I am going to do MNSSHP, but I'm not sure which night. I don't want to go on the Friday 10/27 b/c thats the day we arrive. So my choices are either the 10/30 or 10/31 party. I think they will both be packed. I haven't bought tickets yet b/c I'm waiting to see if DH can sneakaway for maybe 4 days and then I'd need another ticket. How early will they sell out? Is a week early too late to buy tickets for will call?

Does anyone have a suggestion as to which night to go?

Also, if I don't go to the party on 10/31, what can I do to celebrate Halloween with my girls elsewhere on WDW property.

Normally the 31st will be a sell out. In fact I am surprised that I haven't heard that it is not. I don't think other parks do anything (like pass out candy). I am not sure though. I hope your DH can get away with you. Sorry to hear about your father in law and hope you all are doing okay. I think being at WDW is just the thing you all need.

We did MNSSHP on 10/31/05 and had a blast!!!! It was a sell out, but we did not think the crowd was unmanageable. Our 3 dds had a great time. I can not think of a better way to spend Halloween. Trick or Treating in the MK, the parade, Hallowishes...it was great

Seaworld is doing Halloween and giving out treats, but it is during the day. Park closes at 6:00 pm?

We went to the MNSSHP last year on Oct 28 and 29 and it wasn't crowded. We thought it would be and I think it was sold out but it was A LOT less crowded than the MVMCP we had been to.

We'll be at the MNSSHP on the 31st this year.
We have our tickets and we're ready to go! (all this and without kids! lol)

You know, I debated the same thing. I decided to buy tickets for 10/31. What better way to spend Halloween than in the MK?

We're going for Halloween too DD9, DD7, DS4 are very excited. I've gotten a little apprehensive reading the recent posts about how busy it will be etc etc.

I subscribe to TGM and hopefully that will help us avoid the crowds.

Maybe we'll see you there. you should be able to recognize us we'll be the ones in costumes

10/31 sold out on about 10/4 last year. It sold out sometime in September in 2004.

In past years there has been a free party on the Boardwalk. DJ, arts and crafts, cookie decorating etc. Mickey was even there posing for pictures when we were there. If you decide to do MNSSHP on the 30th I would recommend going there on the 31st.

I just checked the disney site and tickets are still available for 10/30 and 10/31. I'm afraid if I wait they will be sold out, but if I buy now I will have to buy 4 (including dh) just incase he is able to go at the last minute. This probaly won't happen and Ill end up with an extra ticket.

I also talked to Disney and they said they have nothing planned for anywhere but the party. I really wish the boardwalk or DTD would do something.

We did the 28th last year and are doing the 30th this year it was a blast and we did enough at MK that night to hit the other parks for our 3 day short trip.
