Help! I am booked for a weekend trip with my sister in August. We are currently booked at YC because we had a special promo code and when we booked it was cheepest. I just went back to look and now BWI is just slightly cheaper and BC is $30 more. This trip will be our first time staying at deluxe, first weekend trip, and our first trip where we aren't going to be focusing too much on parks (we are going to EPCOT for one day). Should we move? I'm nervous about the construction at YC. We are planning at least a full day of pool time and was looking forward to SAB. Are the pools at BWI comparable? Should we pay more and stay at BC? I would love to hear other opinions before deciding! Thank you!

These are all just standard rooms and our travel dates are August 11-13.

BWI pool is nice, but not as nice as SAB. SAB is thought to be the best resort pool on property.
All 3 resorts are nice and you will enjoy whichever one you choose.
They just opened a QS spot in the Yacht Club, but also announced that the Lobby lounge will be closed for refurbishment until "Late Fall". Having construction going on on rooms and now in the main public spaces would be something I would not like.
I would change,
I think BWI would be nice if it is less. I would choose BC if y ou really want SAB
Good Luck

I agree with Disneylover99 and Hopefully--if you're looking forward to SAB, and want to avoid any construction, then BC is probably the best option. SAB will probably be super crowded, with many children, in August, if that makes any difference to you.

For an adults only trip I would go with Boardwalk. Like the last post said, the pool will be very crowded with children in August.

Yes, move! If you really want to try SAB, spend the little extra and move to BC. We happen to love the BWI pool and the Boardwalk at night (which is accessible from BC, too). For me, it would come down to which pool you want to go to. But, yes, $30 more for BC over YC, I would do it.

as others have said, move. Either BWI or BC would be great. You just need to decide how much you want Stormalong Bay. Personally, FWIW, I would choose BC in your shoes.

I've stayed at BC and BWI and I would recommend Boardwalk over BC. We found storm along bay to be way too crowded and loud for our taste and my kids actually preferred the slide at BWI because they didn't have to leave the complex to use it and it was just as fun. Also, if it's just your sister and you, you may prefer the vibe of the boardwalk, especially in the evening, and most if not all rooms at boardwalk have balconies unlike BC. I liked BC fine but we had a water view with a full balcony, we definitely prefer and plan to return to BWI.

Ok I'm leaning towards BWI! Do they have a good pool bar/restaurant? It seemed like hurricane hannahs had lots of options! Thank you for your help this is so helpful! :thanks::smickey:

I would absolutely choose BC. Neither DH nor I liked the pool at BWI, and we love the options at Hurricane Hannah's.

I would choose BC. I have never stayed at BWI but we walked around it and did not think we would like it.
I would go to YouTube and watch a few videos of all 3 to help you decide.

Which weekend in August? The later in the month, the lower the crowd, as kids start going back to school (thinking of crowd at SAB).

I loved YC...the lobby was really quiet compared to BC and you're pretty much guaranteed a balcony (not so at BC). You can keep an eye on where the construction is (mostly re-doing the rooms) and ask for a room away form construction prior to check in. Or, you can pay a bit more for BC, which is lovely as well, you'll just have a busier lobby and won't be guaranteed a balcony (and that might not matter to you).

I haven't stayed at BWI...I really want too one day...but I have stayed at both YC and BC. Hurricane Hannah's was great, and my kids and I loved SAB. We have always gone during the fall, however, so crowds at the pool weren't a problem, especially in the morning to mid-day. Both have excellent access to Epcot, and YC/BC is our (my extend family's) favorite place to stay.

We are going August 11-13. I think the south (Georgia etc.) will be back at school. But I'm a teacher in Texas and I know we won't be back in yet. I'm leaning toward YC or BC but if we stay at YC I really want a remodeled room!

We love YC, but I would go for the Beach Club if you are nervous about construction. SAB is awesome and it's also huge, so it never felt super crowded to us (this was in June). SAB also has a great pool bar. We walked over and looked at BWI and the pool there last trip, but it just doesn't appeal to us.

Most if not all the rooms should be remodeled by then. The only construction you might have would be for Captains Grille and Ale & Compass Lounge.
