We are staying in loop 300 and my husband and son want to go fishing in canal and in the bay. Any suggestions of what bait is best for each?

Thank you

Well here's what I did when we fished the canal. We had gotten the Giddyap n Go fried chicken dinner from Trails End, and had leftovers. I used pieces of the fried chicken skin as bait, and the fish LOVED it! Worked even better when dipped in hot sauce.

I really do like Dave's and "It's not Cindy"s, Giddy Up Go Chicken bait idea,,I can't wait to try it next time at the Fort,:thumbsup2.
But feel free to try different items you have at the camp,,like pieces of hot dog, marsh mallows, pieces of last nights supper, etc.,,,,use your imagination,,you'd be surprized what fish will hit. My son's GF was catch'n swimmers on pieces of watermelon.

Or stop at Wal Mart and buy some worms before you come to the Fort.,,Do Not Buy Worms From Disney,,they arent magical and cost about a bucka worm :scared1:

Also, try a variety of lures,,I like rooster tails.

Fishing is catch and release only at Disney and stay off the beaches and ALL docks,,they get upset about that.

Happy fishing ya'll.

Bacon fat.... fish like it but can't get it off the hook... guess that is kinda cruel now that I think about it!!!

Don't let'em take a bath tonight,, it'll help attract the fish tomorrow.
