What should I request for AKL animal view

We have reserved a savannah view, but want to know which trail, floor, rooms have best view of animals.

Hi,

The Zebra and Wildabeast are only on the "Arusha Savanna" so that is the view I would request. You can be either on the "Kudu" or the "Zebra" trail and still have a view of the "Arusha Savanna".

Hope this helps and hope you have a great trip. Just keep in mind that it is only a request and if you do not get it for some reason try not to let it effect your vacation.

I also recommend Arusha Rock Savannah. Zebra Trail and Kudu Trail have the same view of it.

We returned today from AKL; we were in room 3501 and saw giraffes, wilderbeast (they ran laps one evening), ankola cattle, zebras, and some other ones I can't recall names of. A feeding area is nearly directly out from the balcony with a watering hole close by. I think the best views are from 2nd and 3rd floor. The 3rd floor is a the same level as the lobby, too, which is great after a long day at the parks. Our room is also right by the elevator that goes right to the pool and Mara. The one drawback is that is also next to a viewing area so we often heard conversations when we didn't want to.

my3boys, I was wondering if that area was noisy! I was in a standard (or pool, I guess) view room on the 1st floor, not too far from that elevator. It was actually very quiet, but the 3rd floor seems so busy! We are going back soon & I am thinking of requesting 2nd floor.

I've stayed at AKL on the 5th floor, Sunset Savannah, then moved to 2nd floor Arusha Savannah (I asked to move to a completely different spot just to be able to compare). Which was better? Either-you can't go wrong! However, for quietness, I would prefer to be out further on whichever trail I was on. And I agree that since some animals are only on certain savannahs, you might want to check FAQ, which will tell you which animals are on which savannahs. However, giraffes are on all of them.

Arusha Savnnah

Zebra Trail

2nd or 3rd floor.



We got 4th and it was a TAD too high. All rooms have great views!
