What should I look for--Riesling wine?

Gunderloch Diva Spatlese is my favorite. I like the German wines best. I fiond the domestic ones to have a bite to them

There are so many good ones - that should be easy and you shouldn't have to pay more than $15. I don't agree with another poster about Bully Hill - but that is just my opinion.

One of the best is Chateau St. Michele - about $12

I could go on and on

I agree with all of these except for Chateau St. Michele  Yuck - even made a spritzer taste nasty. I was ready to pour the bottle down the drain but DF who will drink anything finished it - even he said it wasn't very good ;)

If you buy a Riesling and if you are able to buy a German Riesling ask for the Ice Riesling.
This is a very special wine wich is harvested after the first freezing night. The wine is very tasteful and has a lovely sweet taste. The freezing does the trick it changes the grapes.
We see the harvest almost every year but I'm afraid this wine is very rare. There is always a very small section at the vineyards that is special reserved for this wine.

I tried an Ice Wine at the Epcot Food & Wine festival this fall after hearing the rave reviews on the Dis.... Didn't care for it whatsoever. Sickeningly sweet IMO - DF drank this one too :rolleyes1
