Hello everyone! First let me say that I *love* the disboards. I have learned so much from everyone!

We are going to the World 5/11-5/18 and I have all of my ADRs. However, we are on the dining plan and I have too many meals (mostly, due to CRT and HDDR taking up *2* credits each). I need to get rid of some meals. What should I drop? Or... would you drop one of the 2 credit meals? My Dh and I are going with our kids - DS(5) and DD(2) for the first time!

Date: Time:
May 11th 6:55 p.m. Chef Mickey’s

May 12th 10:00 a.m. Cinderella’s Royal Table
6:15 p.m. Crystal Palace

May 13th 8:05 a.m. Hollywood & Vine
6:05 pm 50’s Primetime Café

May 14th (none scheduled)

May 15th 7:15 p.m. Hoop Dee Doo Revue

May 16th 7:00 p.m. Whispering Canyon

May 17th 7:45 a.m. Ohana’s
6:00 p.m. Liberty Tree Tavern

HI!!
I think the food at Liberty Tree is dreadful. We went on our last trip and all of the meat was dry.

Hollywood Vine is just OK....I see you are going for breakfast so you may be going for the characters but if not...I would skip that one. Or you could just pay for a couple of meals out of pocket.

I wouldnt skip CRT or the review...they are a lot of fun.

We are not fans of Liberty Tree.
We enjoy Hollywood and Vine, but I would consider dropping this. I think it is not worth using a TS for a breakfast. However, we have done a late lunch there and enjoyed it. Maybe choose either H & V or 50s.
We did enjoy breakfast Ohana's, but again, I don't know if it is worth a TS.
Maybe consider paying OOP for one of the breakfasts.

On our last trip I had 9TS's plannned and really didn't want to drop one. I paid out of pocket for 2 of our character breakfasts since they were the cheapest meals. I'm glad we did because we loved all of our meals!
My boys loved Chef Mickey, Crystal palace, Hoop Dee Doo, and Play & Dine...I'm so glad I did't give one of those up!!!!:)

I did not care for LTT nor did my kiddies (10, 7 and 6) The atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful but the food was dry and overcooked..it definately sat under a heat lamp for an extended period of time! The other restaurant was DID NOT LIKE was The Primetime..my kids just didn't get the antics...and considering your childrens ages...I would pass if I were you. The whole lunch took 2 hours!!!!! My kids were really annoyed about there time lost in the park..the cherry on the cake was the nasty food! I am returning in August and LTT and The Prime Time are not on our list to repeat. We are doing the HDDR and CRT for dinner, Whispering Canyon, O'Hana's (which we loved in November), Chef Mickey's, Teppon Edo's, Le Cellier, Sci-Fi, Brown Derby and Tusker House! Have a great trip! ;)

Our honest opinion would be drop Hollywood & Vine...unless your kids must see the Playhouse Disney characters (I think that is who is there). We have gone twice for the dinner buffet and the service was terrible, food lukewarm at best, slow to replenish and the place was very dirty.

I agree on the LTT and H&V drops. We were there last week and those were our least favorite meals. Granted, we were spoiling ourselves with several signature meals, but the food at LTT was barely OK at best, and just plain dreadful at H&V. The only + to the early H&V ADR is getting in early to beat the crowds! Got to ride the RRC 3x in less than 30 min!!!

I would definately drop crystal palace and hollywood & vine. They are both aweful. 50's primetime was great food but I agree the antics will be hard for little ones to get. They are also very loud which was hard for my daughter at 7. I thought a few times she was going to cry.

This is comparing apples and oranges. The character meals are breakfast and lunch and your kids are the perfect ages for this one.

I'd probably drop WCC(save for when they kids are a bit older) and 'Ohanas you'll get plenty of Mickey at HDDR and Chef Mickey's.

If you really want to do the Castle keep your ADR, but the CRT and CP on the same day seems to be quite a bit. I'd put them on different days. I hope you enjoy the CRT meal and if you do I wonder if you'd have room at 6pm to really enjoy the full spread at CP. We couldn't eat two such meals in a day. We canceled H&V and kept Boma dinner on the same day for just that reason on our last trip. Had a shared CS breakfast that held us until dinner. I think the menu at CP looks great and I hope to try it on my next trip.

Not sure if you're on the Basic or Deluxe plan. If it is Basic, do some calcs to see if the Deluxe would save you money and you could add a couple of meals (Maybe something like Narcoossee's or California Grill for the grown up in you). I counted 11 TS credits on a trip that gives you 7 on the Basic plan. The Deluxe with 21 credits would easily cover those, plus 7CS meals if you had them planned and still let you book that special meal without cancelling anything. However, it isn't Free, so do the math to see if it fits this trip.

We go 2-3x per year ....Last trips were in Dec 07 & Oct 07 & May 07 w/2 girls same age as your kids....You do have a LOT of character meals so I'd try to narrow it down.

I'd do w/o CP (UNLESS your kids are huge POOH fans--you can get more attention from them at AK in the hidden charcter part or at Epcot @England all the way in back thru gift shop).

I too would skip WC Unless you are staying there & it's really convenient. Haven't done LTT so can't give advice on that one.

Keep in mind you can cancel ONCE you get there. In May & Oct, we had to "change " plans as kids were too tired to go to dinner we had booked.

Plan on doing CS @Wolfgang Puck express @DDT--probably the best CS IMHO!

Say hi to Davy Jones of the Monkees! This will be our first no May trip in 6 years as DD started K this year! WDW is the best place to be for Mother's DAY!

We loved the H & V breakfast. We just got back last night. That was my DD13's favorite breakfast. Oh, it was tied with Donald's breakfast in AK for her. I thought the food was wonderful. Characters were great. We would do this again next time. My DD5 loved it as well.

LLT for dinner was Ok. The food was Ok. I don't particularly like that kind of food though. Characters were fine. We won't do this one next time. Chef Mickey's was great. I would keep that one. O'Hana's was good. I would keep that one as well. The new menu changes are good.

Here is my 2 cents.

May 11th 6:55 p.m. Chef Mickey’s --We love it
May 12th 10:00 a.m. Cinderella’s Royal Table--Not worth 2 credits 6:15 p.m. Crystal Palace --OK
May 13th 8:05 a.m. Hollywood & Vine--Never Been 6:05 pm 50’s Primetime Cafe--We love it
May 14th (none scheduled)

May 15th 7:15 p.m. Hoop Dee Doo Revue--Never Been
May 16th 7:00 p.m. Whispering Canyon--going in Sept

May 17th 7:45 a.m. Ohana’s--We love it
6:00 p.m. Liberty Tree Tavern--Good

Date: Time:
May 11th 6:55 p.m. Chef Mickey’s I love this one, great to see all the amin characters- don't cancel and they take your picture, so that is nice too

May 12th 10:00 a.m. Cinderella’s Royal Table My sister in law took her DD4 and DD1 last year and they didn't really enjoy it, the food was nothing special and since your DD is so young, I would skip this one IMHO, maybe do it another time when your DD would really like it, I know my son wanted nothing to do with the princesses
6:15 p.m. Crystal Palace We always go here, but Tigger is mine and my DS5's favorite, the food choices are good for kids, (check out the menus for all resturants if you haven't already) I will say there is often a wait before all the characters make it around the room so if time is a problem, just remember that.

May 13th 8:05 a.m. Hollywood & Vine This is a must do if your kids like little einstein's and jojo's circus and watch any of the playhouse disney shows. They have a host and hostess that sings songs from playhouse disney shows and the characters, children and hosts all dance, I really like this one, plus I am not sure what time the park opens, but it is cool to get into the park before it opens for great pictures and to get a jump on the day.
6:05 pm 50’s Primetime CaféEven if the "antics" are lost on the kids as a PP said, I would recommend this for many reasons, the food is great and also, so much of the trip is for the kids so why not have a little adult fun??? Ask for the server named Mark- he is the best.

May 14th (none scheduled)

May 15th 7:15 p.m. Hoop Dee Doo RevueNever been, but heard it is good, I haven never done it b/c the menu didn't appeal to me for my DS5, again, not sure that a 5 & 2 yr old would "get" most of the jokes and enjoy themselves.

May 16th 7:00 p.m. Whispering Canyon We loved the food here and there are some games they do during dinner for the kids that your 5 year old would like, you could also go up with your 2 year old. To me not as great as a character meal though. If you go, take the boat to and/or from the MK for a nice relaxing bonus.

May 17th 7:45 a.m. Ohana’s Never been, again, questionable food choices for my son
6:00 p.m. Liberty Tree TavernMy sister liked this place, but I have heard too many bad reviews of the food here, I wouldn't go to this one unless I couldn't get in anywhere else

Hope some of this helps. Have a MAGICAL time :wizard:

May 11th 6:55 p.m. Chef Mickey’s - Have not been for dinner, but have heard it is really good. You cannot beat the character interaction here.

May 12th 10:00 a.m. Cinderella’s Royal Table - No way is this worth 2 TS credits. Yoiu'd be better off paying out of pocket or skipping it, unless your kids are crazy for the princesses.
6:15 p.m. Crystal Palace - Awesome. We love the Pooh characters and the cool feeling of this lovely atrium with lots of plants.

May 13th 8:05 a.m. Hollywood & Vine - Have not been, but have not heard anything good lately.
6:05 pm 50’s Primetime Café - Very good food and service.

May 14th (none scheduled)

May 15th 7:15 p.m. Hoop Dee Doo Revue - Well worth 2 TS credits. It has good food and lots of fun!

May 16th 7:00 p.m. Whispering Canyon - One of our very favorite places. We have never had a bad meal here and have had SO much fun!

May 17th 7:45 a.m. Ohana - Excellent family style service and the best sausage in WDW! Their dinner is even better, but no characters.
6:00 p.m. Liberty Tree Tavern - We've gone only once and the food, service and character interaction were all great!

LOVE LOVE LOVE your choices. many favorites of ours too! We had a great meal at Ohana's and Liberty Tree was amazing a favorite each time we area at MK! Hoop Dee Doo is such fun!!
Have a WONDERFUL delicious time!

I'd skip CRT. Breakfast is breakfast and not worth the 2 credits, especially since your daughter is too young to really enjoy it. Wait to take the kids when they are older and will remember it. If your son likes the princesses, and daughter too, go to the Princess meal in Norway and then you're fine with credits!

We will be there the same time... :)

Not sure what I would cut out... we went with the dulx plan as we can get in all the meals we wanted!!! I wouldn't cut out CRT.... :)
