What should I get @Mama Melrose

I just added this to our Nov. trip in place of LTT on MVMCP night I would prefer to just have CS. So Mama Melrose was added to another night while we are ging to DHS.This is our first time dining here everything looks really good any opinions would be appreciated.

I always like their chicken parm and dd loves their flatbreads! The minestrone soup and the bruschetta are very good for appetizers.

I love their crispy calamari and eggplant napoleon....mmm I get it every time!!

They have changed the "eggplant napoleon," it is now breaded and no longer served on top of the white bean ragout. They still call it "eggplant napoleon" but it's basically eggplant parmegiana now.

Because of that, I went with the penne a la vodka, which was some of the best I've had. The flatbread, to quote my husband, "it was pretty good pizza, but it was just pizza." The tomato and mozzarella and the mussels appetizers were both excellent as well (appetizers were definitely the highlight of the meal, although all of it was good), as was the cheesecake. The tiramisu was good but not the best we've had.

Be warned though, MM is known for slow service. I've seen a few reports of good service lately, but our dinner was definitely not one of them. It took 40 minutes from the time we finished eating our entrees until we received our desserts (25 minutes to bring us the dessert menu, then we had to decide while he stood there and tapped his foot at us, then 15 minutes to actually bring them).
