First of all - buy the book and read the first 3 chapters. It's easy to read, and will give you all the rules of induction to get you started.
Here's basically the first 2 weeks: unlimited meat and eggs, some cheese, 3 cups of salad veggies per day, "real" salad dressing (stay away from French and Thousand Island), heavy cream in your coffee, "real" sour cream, and lots and lots of water!
The book lists the legal veggies for the first two weeks, but basically they're: lettuce, green beans, cucumbers, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, asparagus, pea pods, radishes, mushrooms, etc. Stay away from carrots, peas, and any other veggie that tastes "sweet".
Those 2 weeks are the hardest, but after that you can start adding in more carbs in the form of more veggies, some berries and nuts, and a low-carb treat once in awhile.
