I sent my closing documents and money order to the closing agent on Thursday. The post office verified that the packaged was received and sighed on Friday. I sent the agent an email asking them to verify that my package did arrive, she came back to me about an hour ago saying she did not receive my package and money order. I sent her another email right away and ask her to double check, giving her the initial of the person who signed for it. I got an out of office reply saying that she is out of the office on June 7th and call another person if the matter is urgent. I called and could not get through to any real person, all I got were voice mails...I am really nervous, since I already sent out the money order, the question is, where did it go if the closing service did not receive it? I double checked the address, it was exactly the same the one they instructed me to send to.

Can you say who you used?

When did you send the package? You mentioned she was out of the office on June 7. Has she returned?

It is Timeshare, the email I received today said the person is out June 7th, I call her anyways, her voicemail said she is out tomorrow!? Sound strange. I called the person to contact in her email, just got her voicemail, so far I had not been able to get through to a real person.

My brother had the same situation except that it was for mailing in a money order for a speeding ticket. My best advice is make sure you keep the stub from the money order. I'm pretty sure you can track whether or not it is cashed and if so, when and where. That way along with the initialed mail receipt you have proof of delivery AND payment in case you have to involve the authorities. My brother had proof of delivery but not payment since he threw out his stub and had to pay the fines twice.

floridafam, it is the Timeshare Closing Services, I sent the package last Thursday overnight, the post office had a record that it arrived and was signed for on Friday. I understand that there might be some kind of delay with processing the document, but what the agent said the package was not received, this makes me nervous.

Okay, we used Timeshare Title and More so I don't have any experience with the closing service you used.

I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe you could call the broker that you purchased the contract from. Did the closing company act as the selling agent, also?

We recently sold a contract and it did take a while. We often had to leave a message for the closing service but we always received a prompt response.

Is it possible the agent received it and has just been out of the office?

Has anyone else used this closing service? Maybe they can help.

Good luck.:sunny:

Who was your broker? I just signed the contract with one of the sponsors of this board and I think I might be going through the same closing company as yours.
I sure don't what to be going through what you are having to deal with. Has anybody out there had any problems with Timeshare Closing Services? I was planning on wiring the money to them when I close. That might be the way go. No mail service involved and I get an instant electronic trail.

Their specific instruction is cashiers check or money order. I called them many times already today, couldn't get through to a real person, I will have to try again tomorrow. I emailed the broker too, she replied yesterday that she will let me know today, but I did not hear from her. sigh. All I want to know is if they received my package, I am not even rushing them to close.

We used Timeshare Closing Services, Inc. and found them to be very efficient. If you are concerned call the broker and ask them to check for you.

If you got the money from a bank, they should very easily be able to check if it was paid - especially if you still have the mo # but even if not. If it was paid, request a copy of the back so you'll know exactly when they processed it.

We also used Time Share Closing Services and had no problems either when purchasing our resale. We checked on them through the better business bureau of Orlando (http://www.orlando.bbb.org/nis/news...001492&ComName=Timeshare+Closing+Services+Inc) before hand and they were known to be a reputable company in that area. They had one complaint lodged against them (which was resolved) in their 3-year history. I don't think you have much to worry about if the money order was sent to the correct location.

We used this outfit to handle our closing, and did not have a problem. It is possible that the package got placed on the wrong person's desk, or is somewhere in the wrong stack of papers. They are quite busy, and have a lot of packages going through the office.

Check with your selling agent, and ask them to run this down for you. They will have an interest since their fees are included in the closing disbursement.

Hope things go well.....

::yes::

Thanks everyone your your support. The agent came back today and confirmed the money was received on June 10. They said there was a miscommunication, they didn't receive the seller's document, somehow, it got through as they didn't receive the buyer's document and money. I was relived, I hope they will get all the documents soon and close the deal.

I received a email from the closing agent today. They received all the documents and my file is now closed, ie I will get my deed in the mail in a few days and I should be able to go home soon! :sunny: I must had sounded like a whim, they had me worried with the mixup, but I am happy now.

Wow, it sounds like you have been through it this week. Congrats and Welcome Home!!
