I know that I'm supposed to pack a dinner outfit in my carry-on in case our luggage doesn't arrive in the room in time, but all of our dress clothes have to travel in a garment bag, otherwise they will be SO wrinkeld from being folded! Both of us have pants with creases down the front & if they are folded... AAHHH I cringe at the thought!! WHAT SHOULD I DO??? HHEELLPPP!!!:scared:

The 1st night is more casual anyway - we always just were what we wore on board.

Your luggage will arrive in your room between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. That should allow plenty of time to change before your 6:00 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. dinner.

If you're still concerned, consider wearing something onto the ship that you could wear to dinner (no jeans or shorts). Then, bring shorts or swimwear in your carry-on bag for the first afternoon.

In stead of folding your clothes, have you ever tried rolling them up before putting them in your suitcase. They get less wrinkled this way. We have done that for years, you would be amazed at the difference.

There have been a couple of occasions when we've sailed where they must have been running behind on the luggage...an announcement was made that if your clothes hadn't arrived, you shouldn't worry about what you were wearing. That hasn't happened for a long time tho'. Lately they are really prompt on the luggage.

I know we're eating at AP the first night & we're only doing the 3 night so I want to get dressed for each night-- I usually do roll my clothes- but not my dress clothes- that would work fine for pants but not for dress shirts... :( & I think my bf would laugh in my face if I told him to wear his dress pants on the plane!! Do you think I could get away with carrying my garment bag as a carry-on so I can keep it with me? Thanks again for all of your help!!!:D

I don't do much air travlel so I can't speak from experience...but I bet you could use your garmet bag as a carry on. We were planning a destination wedding last year in Hawaii and I really questined how in the world was I suppose to get my wedding dress along with the tux and flower girl dresses there. (besides the wrinkle factor there was the fear of lost items). When I asked around...everyone said to carry them on..the planes have some sort of area that the dresses and tux could hang. I hope this helps....you may want to check with someone at the airline to make sure.

I wouldn't worry about carrying a set of dinner clothes. It is so rare that suitcases are that late. On the first night you could get away with what you were wearing anyway. One last thing to have to haul around!
