Hi everyone!
We're taking our first trip to WDW since 1989 from Aug. 4-11. I booked POR with the Fairy Tale Package and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to try a deluxe resort. I called the other day to see if I could change resorts to the Yacht or Beach Club, because I had seen them on the Travel Channel and I thought the location and pool would suit my 14 and 16 year olds. I have a 16 month old also, so the two older ones will be doing a lot of things by themselves and I like the fact that they could walk to Epcot and MGM.
Well, the only thing they had available in a deluxe hotel was AKL savannah view. I went ahead and got that and the place sounds fabulous (I'm really looking forward to eating at Boma). But should I still try to get into the Y or BC or Boardwalk? Would there be any possibility that anything would open up? We've reserved 2 connecting rooms, by the way, since the baby likes to wake up around 6 a.m. and the other girls like to sleep in. So I guess it would be more difficult to get two cancellations at one of the other places.
I guess I just want this vacation to be perfect because I don't know if we'll all get back to Disney together again since my 16 year old may be working next summer, or have a boyfriend or whatever.
Thanks for any advice you could give me.
Lynn
