What should I do?

Okay here's the situation:

We've picked a week in 2004 to take a 7 day cruise on the Magic. Now my BIL and SIL are trying to decide if they want to come with us with their family (this decision could take months! )but if they come, they want us all to take a 4 day cruise and spend the rest of the time at WDW.

So, my question is - should I book the 7 day cruise now to take advantage of the early booking savings and to get the room we want? If I want to change it to the 4 day cruise at a later date (but before the 60 day cut off) will there be any problems, i.e. will I lose any of my deposit?

Thanks!

Ok, let me get this straight...YOU decided on a trip and inlaws want to "come along" but on a different trip?

That being said, up to the 60 day mark you don't lose anything. You just might not be able to get what you want. I'd book it and let them know if they want to go on the same trip you've booked that would be great and you'd be glad to give them the info so they can link ressies (if you want to !) for dinner seating, etc. BUt that's me...

I would do what you and your family would wnat to do...book the 7day.....If you change to accomodate another family and you really aren't thrilled with the plans it could take away from you enjoying your vacaction....Remember it would be your vacation also....so do what would make your family happy....

If you cancel or change prior to the 60 day mark you will not lose your money..

Yes Deb, aren't relatives great?

I guess my question is - is there any penalty changing from a 7 day to a 4 day cruise?

Maybe I'll just book the 7 day and tell them to let us know if they are going on the 4 day. Then we can decide if we want to join THEM for a second cruise!

No..... there aren't any penalties for changing from a 7 day to a 4 day. However........ if you wait too long to switch, the price will be higher than it is now, and you may not get the category or room you want.

I'd book the 7 day now and tell the other family that this is the trip you're going on, and they're welcome to come along.

The second cruise idea works for me!!!!!!!!

Just my opinion......
