What should I do???

We are military thus we are eligible for staying at SOG. Now I know that SOG doesn't have the DDP available- we stayed there last year. In 2009 we are treating my in-laws to WDW for their first time (we are paying for the whole thing) and also for their 30th wedding anniversary. The difference in booking a moderate room with the PH and DDP is about 4000 more that staying at SOG and buying the military ph. We will be going with a total of 8 (4 adults, 1 junior and 3 kids) and staying for 7 nights.

My question is, if we pay oop would we end up spending more that the difference, or would it be better to stay at a resort and get the DDP?

Any input will be appreciated. Thank you!!

I think I would do SOG. You can opt to buy their dining plan and pay OOP for one meal a day a Disney. You will still feed everyone and come way under the extra $4000. I think it would be a nice compromise.

Thanks that is what I was thinking. We don't have a lot of money and I know that we would most likely be eating a couple of sit down meals like CRT and Ohana's but I'm all for snacks and sandwiches.

I stayed at SOG with my mother and brother last year. It's a lot nicer than the moderates. I hope you and your family have a magical trip!
