~sigh~ We're surprising our kids with a trip to WDW.:) Well, kinda surprising them. My oldest squirt found some of my secret stash of stuff for our trip.:o She's too smart for her own good.;)

I can't decide if I want to add another night and arrive early, or if I should just stick with my ressies as they are. If we arrive a day earlier, we won't arrive until 10-12 that night. If we arrive as I have planned now, we'll arrive around noon the next day.

I'm about ready to pack and leave right now, but that's not an option.;)

What should we do? Keep our plans as is or should we arrive the night before? I'm driving myself crazy trying to decide.

TIA:)

Are you flying or driving Shannon??

If you're driving, why not make it so you get in earlier on your original arrival date? That way you won't be paying the extra night for just sleeping a few hours. . :) :)

We're driving, Willy. My SO is scared to fly (I've never flown either, but I'm more brave than he is;)). It'll take us 10 hours to drive down. If we leave a day earlier, neither one of us will lose sleep, but if we leave as planned, atleast one of us will be cranky when we arrive (possibly me;), but he'll be doing all the driving, I'll just be cranky from it taking too long to drive down there:teeth: ). He's told me he doesn't care which day we go, but paying for that extra night is keeping me debating about arriving early.

I'll leave the answer to your question to those here with much higher cortical function than myself;) ;) ;)

I'd just like to wish you and your family a WONDERFUL AND SAFE TRIP!!! :jester:

I chose stay with your original plans, but I can see advantages to both. If you stay with your original plans, you can use the money you would have spent on the room for souvenirs or a nice dinner. On the other hand, if you get there the night before, you can do early entry the next day. Hmmmmm.... decisions, decisions...

When are you going, Sis?

Why not leave the day before and just stay somewhere along the way so that you won't be cranky. ;) We did this once, we stayed in Tallahassee and then it was a nice short drive for us the next morning.

We always arrive late at night. Go tothe resort check in and crash. Get up the next day and have the whole day to spend however we like.

4greatboys, I'm leaning heavily that way.

PG, I thought about that too, but my SO wouldn't sleep all night afraid someone would try to unload our truck (I usually OVER pack). Our truck doesn't have a cover.

Sis, I know, too many decisions. I tend to overthink sometimes too.:o Next week we'll hit double digits until our trip. We're going in November (but shhhh, don't let my dd know;)). The kids will be missing a few days of school, and if we leave early, we can leave right when they get released from school and hit the road. If I ask them, they'll say to arrive a day early.:teeth:

LOL, what is your vote, Lea Ann?;)

Thank you Silky. Your cortical function is much higher than mine btw.;)

Tough decisions!!! ;)

I would go for the extra night. Then you would be already there first thing in the AM. But......if you have no cover on your truck and you wouldn't be unloading your truck because you would be too tired, then you either run the risk of having your things MIA in the morning OR you can have your SO sleep in the back of the truck with the stuff. :teeth:

How comfortable is your luggage???? ;)

take me along, this way you can leave early, spend the night somewhere and I'll gladly sleep in the truck and watch the luggage:smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

LOL at Tony. :) No advice here, just wishing you a safe trip and a magical vacation. :)

Your going to WDW without your little sister?
:o Fine, i'll drink all the coffee myself!

No, but seriously I think you should arrive a day early so you can be nice and rested for the next day!

send me a postcard! or two! or ten!! :teeth: ;)

How much stuff are you taking?? ;) Everyone could grab a suitcase on the way in.

Deanna, we took a 2 day trip to Mobile last month. I had 6 suitcases packed, and several other side bags packed for the trip.:o I always over pack.:teeth:

Von, I've already printed my address labels out for your postcards.:) (not joking:))

Uncle T, does this mean you'll take me on your trip too?:teeth: I'll watch your thongs for you.:teeth:

Thanks Deb.:)

Nicole, I jokingly asked him if he'd sleep with the luggage, but he didn't like my joke.;)

No advice, Shannon, just a request...take me? PLEASE????

Naw, she's just taking a hibachi and a big ice chest. ;)

I have an idea. I have two American Airlines vouchers. DS and I will fly into MCO, you swing by and pick us up and we'll take care of the luggage. So where are we staying? :teeth:

I think I'd leave right after school and arrive late. You will get a lot more done after a goodnights sleep. BTW you can drop by and pick me up on the way. ;)

Whenever anyone has a chance to leave early for WDW.....I say "go for it"!!! :bounce:
