We just got back (Oct 15-24) and it was GLORIOUS and I'm struggling on when to time our next trip. Here are the options w/my pros/cons:

Option #1: January 13-18

Pros: Slower time; Half of the stay would be cheap (AKL for $120ish or AsMo for $49ish). Can use our AP (expires 4/16/06).

Cons: I don't have anymore personal time @ work, so it'll be a shorter trip and I will have to work right before & after getting back. The trips will be close together...not alot of time to save up. Matthew would be out of school 3 days (not a big deal to me or the school).

Option #2: April 2-9

Pros: Can still use AP (expires 4/16/06). Matthew is off on spring break, so no missed school. Matthew would be in WDW for his 7th birthday. :)

Cons: According to www.touringplans.com it would be busy during this time (mostly 8s...); A more expensive time to go (regular vs. value season).

Option #3: October 2006 for 10-14 days

Pros: Longer trip. Will go over Matthew's fall break (no missed school). Time to save up for a nicer, longer trip.

Cons: AP will have expired, so we will have to purchase tickets. And the biggest con.... it will have been a year since our last trip!

What would you do????? HELP!

My first choice would be January.

April would be great, so you could celebrate your little boys bd, but it will be so busy. Not sure if you are flying, but the air for April would be very high.

Life is short and no one knows what circumstances will occur down the road should you decide to wait.

My choice would be Opt. #1. Grab the moment and enjoy!

We'll be waiting for you.

I say October, we were there this past October for the first time and loved it, but I don't think we'll be taking our kids out of school again, way way too much work and tests to make up and they got a lot that they took with them. And they only missed 4 days. My poor 4th grader she's the one who really had a lot to make up. I say if you have a fall break go then. But I guess it depends on what grade your son is in. And I'd rather be there LONGER!!!

we were there during the fall break time this past october and it was pretty crowded then too, the cm's and other guests were talking about how busy it was...listed as a '2' in the guides, but lines and crowds were more like a 6 or 7. So if you go during that fall break week, be prepared for a busier than expected time. I'd do January...
