Yes, starve! Well, not really. Here's the deal: Boyfriend and I are flying in on a Sunday. Originally our flight arrived at MCO at 1:30, but it has already changed and we are now arriving at 12:50. We are staying at POP. I had dinner plans at Spoodles for 6, but after deciding that was a bit too early and that I really didn't like the menu, I changed it to WCC. Our ADR is for 8:20 the day we arrive. Anyway, I know we are going to be super hungry before that, especially after traveling all day. I was really hoping to save our last counter service meal for our last day since we have a late flight returning home. What do you all recommend? Getting a bite to eat at POP foodcourt? Or do you think the ADR is at an OK time and between the time its going to take to get to POP, check-in, settle down, and maybe going for a swim it won't really be that late after all?

From what I've heard, prices are not that much at Pop-I would get something from the food court and save your counter svc. for the parks where it is way more expensive.

Last year when we stayed at POP, from touchdown to opening our room door took less than one hour. It was amazing how fast and effecient everything was and I had alloted up to 3 hours for all that. Why dont you move your reservation up or just bring some snacks with you in your carry on? Throw some crackers or granola bars in your bag or even use a snack credit at POP for whatever will tide you over. Thats probably what I would do anyway, hope that helps.

Get a meal, or at least split a meal at Pop. You could just pay OOP if you didn't want to use a credit, but, depending on how you tour, you may not miss that one. I know I'm planning one using a CS credit on my first day for lunch.

I would eat at POP or go to DTD and eat at Wolfgang Puck Express

I was thinking about moving up the ADR, but now that I think about it maybe I'll just leave it. It will be nice to take things slow. Even if it does only take an hour to get to our room, at least we will have time to explore and such. We also have to leave ample time to get to WL, so I think 8:20 will be ok. Hopefully we'll still be hungry by then!

Is 8:20 late on your travel day? What time to you need to get up to catch an AM flight? My worry would not be so much was I starving or not hungry at all, but more importantly that I was too tired to enjoy the meal.
You also want to be rested for your first park day. By the time you eat and travel back to POP it may be a relatively late night.
Just my thoughts

Thanks Hopefully, you actually just made me feel a lot better about my existing ADR...because I realized we will have plenty of time to take a nap before dinner!! :rotfl: Boyfriend and I really enjoy naps, so now I'm happy because we will be able to nap and be rested for a pretty late night.

I'd bring a couple of fun snacks in my suitcase, and then spend the afternoon at the pool with a cold drink!

Have fun!

Pop has a great foodcourt. Definitely grab something after you check in - then have fun until dinner!

I would use your CS. credits. Not sure how many are in your party, but I would use the credits. Many people report they had a hard time using their cS credits (I know we did) because of all the food choices. Either you pay on the first day or the last day. If you pay on the first day, and you end up having CS credits left, you paid OOP for nothing.

Have fun!!

Your flight is only getting in 40 minutes earlier. Keep your same plans and save your CS credit. Maybe grab an apple as a snack.

I would wait till you get to POP and find a snack at the food court and save the CS for a full meal. POP has a lot of snacks. If you are going to buy mugs this would be a great time to do it and then you would be wasting a drink from your CS. grab a mug, get a cold sandwich from the case- they are big- to share and then each get Ice cream or dessert(tie dye cheesecake, choc cake, yum) go sit at the pool and decompress from traveling also give you a chance to read all the stuff they give you before your first park day. I would plan on eating something because if you are too hungry you may get a headache before your planned dinner.

What about using some of your snack credits?

Pop has a large selection of items available for a snack credit.

I would use your SC too! We had so many SC's left over on our last trip that we stocked up on food to take on the plane. The POP has some great selections.

I would grab some nachos from the Pop food court, then get a drink from the Pop pool bar, set myself down and enjoy the Hippy Dippy pool! Or get one meal off of a cs credit to share. I agree, you may have some cs credits leftover by the end of the trip due to the huge portions at cs places (meaning you may end up sharing sometimes). In any case, I would start using up your credits, cs, ts and snack right from the start. It seems like so many people, my family included end up on that last day with a bunch of cs and snack credits to use up.

Thanks everyone for your input...I feel much better with my 8:20ADR, I think it will work out great! Even if it doesn't, I'm still at Disney!!!
