What should I do on my last day?

Hi everyone!

I was hoping y'all could help me with my last day (DH leaves one day earlier) at WDW. I'm staying at AKL and have a 6:40pm flight out of MCO the day after the first MNSSHP. I'd planned to get up early for EMH at Epcot (8am) and spend the day there, but I'm not sure if the late night at MNSSHP will do me in (especially considering how far AKL is from MK). Do you think it would be worth it to plan a parks visit on my last day if I'm using Magical Express to get to MCO?

Thanks!!!

I had an extra day without hubby last trip. Used it to ride StarTours 12 times in a row! (then hopped to my beloved Everest)

You could play it by ear, if you need to, sleep in, then use the extra time to do things you love that maybe DH isn't as enamored with! Or a tasty lunch. Or both!!

I like your thinking!! :goodvibesAnd I wish my stomach could withstand that many visits to StarTours! One of my faves.

I wouldn't do morning EMH after a party - that will be exhausting - but you could definitely get some park time in with a flight that late. I always go to a park on my departure day because I book 6-8pm flights. :)

Good to know! Do you do ME? I heard they do pickup 3 hours before flights :sad2:

I would pack the night before and get enough sleep. Then maybe have a nice lunch and revisit a favorite attraction or show. ME does pick you up pretty early so keep that in mind but it's fun to shop at the airport so it's not all bad at least.

I do, and that's pretty accurate. Sometimes it's plus or minus 15 minutes. I figure even if I only get 3 or 4 hours in a park on that last day, it's fairly worth it. I've had a AP in the past but with the price structure on multi day tickets it's not a huge deal either.

The pick-up time for ME is 3 hours before your flight, give or take 15 minutes, and it's really not too early. It's generally recommended to arrive at an airport 2 hours before your flight, and the ME bus will pick up at several (I've heard up to 4) resorts before heading out to the airport. I've heard that security lines at MCO are often long (I haven't been to WDW in over 6 years, so my memory of the security lines is a little hazy ;)), and personally, I would much rather hang out at the airport for awhile than race through the airport trying to make my flight. You could take advantage of the time at the airport to get some dinner, or some last minute shopping at the Disney store.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me! And I don't think a taxi is worth the hour or so saved ... So say I'm at Epcot, what time do you think I should leave to catch my ME bus at 3:40??

I would leave at 2pm, no later than 2:30 because you MUST be at the bus stop for DME about 15mins early, DONT BE LATE because they will leave without you.

Our flight in Sept leaves around 7pm, so we plan to pack the night before and drop our bags at bell services before going to the parks, we will leave the park around 2pm to be back by 3pm. That way we can have lunch at the food court and do the onsite checkin for our flight (we fly SW and have their EBCI so we will already be checked in but we will check our bags at the resort and have them print the boarding passes). This way we know we will be early and waiting before the bus pulls up for the airport :goodvibes

In other words... aim to leave the park an hour to an hour and a half prior to the time they tell you will be picked up by ME. Earlier is better.

Aw shucks, even earlier than I thought! But I'd rather be early than stressed. Thanks!!
