What Should I Bring?

I hope this is the right place to post my question. I will be staying 6 nights at Aulani in a 2BDR, along with DH, DS(4), and my mom. I've never stayed at a timeshare before, and realize it's different than a hotel. So for you experienced DVCers, what are your "must haves" or things you wished you would have known to bring with you?

If there is already a good discussion about this, please point me to it. Thanks so much! :)

I haven't stayed at Aulani but have logged many, many, weeks in DVC resorts at WDW. The only things we need to bring extra is our coffee, creamer, sugar and personal items like our own shampoo, etc. The unit should be completely furnished with everything you will need. Have Fun!!

We do most of our meal prep in our room ... so we either bring or buy aluminum foil, a spice wheel, small salt/pepper, ziplock bags in various sizes, etc. Other than that, we bring clothing, toiletries, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.

All the basics are covered:
  • Kitchen: Includes stovetop, oven, rice cooker, pots and pans, full size refrigerator, dishes, glassware, dishwasher, hot pots, etc.
  • Bathrooms: Stocked with small toiletry items (soap, shampoo, conditioner) and you'll likely need more. There will be bath towels and washcloths sufficient for the max occupancy of the room.
  • Laundry: You'll find one box of laundry detergent sitting on the washer -- but you'll probably need more.
  • Pool towels: You'll find these down at the pool.
  • Internet: the entire resort offers WiFi. You do not need to bring your own wireless router.

What about paper towels and napkins? Do we need to bring our own for the kitchen?

Thanks!

you will need napkins and coffee filters. paper towels are in villa.
