Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should bring to Nick Hotel? I'm bringing goggles and beach towels. What else is allowed?

Also, COFFEE!!! I NEED COFFEE. Do the rooms have coffee makers?

Don't know about the coffee - sorry. But I would bring a COOLER with you and make a Publix stop. We checked in on a Wed evening and I ran over to Publix while dh got the kids ready for bed. We did not leave the resort for the next 2 and 1/2 days. We packed sandwiches, drinks and snacks in our cooler and brought it down to the water play area with us. We just used one of the tables there for lunch. Very cool that they let you bring your own drinks, etc. down with you.

There's a coffee place in the food court (not starbucks-- maybe seattle's best?) and it's open all day.

If you're inclined to indulge, put some cocktails in that cooler, it makes that place way more bearable (if you know what I mean:thumbsup2)

You'll see plenty of big red party cups and cans of beer in coozies when you're there.

I agree with the snacks and sandwiches, the lines for food and drinks can get very long and it's easier to have your own.

Sunscreen? LOL

We stayed there 2 years ago and my kids loved it. Absolutely loved it. We had a spongebob room. I believe the rooms did have coffee makers, but I'm not 100%.

I don't remember if you can bring rafts or not, but honestly, my kids stayed on the slides almost the whole time, in the play area. They were not in the pool itself much except when they were doing the little shows and stuff.

Go down early to claim a good chair where you can see everything. If you don't want to pack a cooler, the nice cabanna waiters and waitresses will bring you drinks and food to your chair so you don't have to wait in line, but then of course, you have to tip too. We never had to move other than to chase down the kids now and then or to use the restroom.

We have stayed there twice. Both times the coffee maker was a little tiny one with the pre-filter measured coffees. If you really like coffee, take your own or buy a Starbucks type coffee at the coffee shop in the mall area. Of course, that is if you want to eat breakfast in the room. If you eat the buffet breakfast there you can get as much coffee as you want.

We always had breakfast in the room, usually microwaved bacon, egg and cheese biscuits, juice for DS, coffee for us. Lunch was sandwiches, chips, cookies in the room, and then dinner was out somewhere.

All right, I now see that Nick Hotel has a 4D something and some other "things" which I assume are extra fees. So, exactly how much is everything? Thanks!

I asked those questions 2 days ago when I reserved a room for 2 nights.... I was trying to determine if the package rate which included a char. breakfast, a 1000 point game card, unlimited 4-d passes, breakfast buffet every day and a pizza/soda was worth it. There is a minimum of 2 nights on that rate, and it ended up being 120 more for 2 nights. If you do everything, it's worth it to get that package rate, if you are only staying 2 nights....

Here is what they said:

The Character Breakfast is available every day here at the hotel, The character breakfast is $19.95 per adult ages 12 and up and $10.95 per children ages 3-12.You are guaranteed to see SpongeBob and Dora just give us a call to a make reservations at 407-387-5437 ext 601. Our breakfast buffet is 11.95 per adult and 7.95 per child . 4D passes are $12.95 per person. And one of our Slimetastic Agents can help you plan your character breakfast here at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.

If you are a coffee nut and also need your coffee before 7:00 in the morning i would suggest bringing your own maker with you. There were times I had to wait until they opened up at 7:00 which wasnt always good for me, its also a walk whereas if you have it in your room you are set. make sure if you are into granola type bars to bring your own from home. I forgot to do this and wound up paying $2.00 for a single bar when i could have gotten a whole box for $3.00.
Then again any other food make sure you either stop at the grocery store your first day or bring with you.
You are probably better off bringing your own towels because it could be a hassle waiting in the line for them sometimes and its easier to spot if you leave your chair.

Thanks for letting me know about the coffee shop not opening until 7; although I think I'll be sleeping past 7:00 tomorrow.

We are here right now and I am very very impressed. Everything is wonderful, except for the rain.

Full report to follow once I get some sleep and rest
