 I have NEVER done scrapbooking, but have been to parties and really want to get into it. I am asking for scrapbooking stuff, maybe some sort of kit, for Christmas to get me started.
Anyone have any ideas??
Oh and at a creative memories party the hostess told us NEVER to buy scrapboook stuff from Wal-Mart cause it's no good.
Anyone buy stuff from Wal-Mart?
Any ideas to help me know what to ask for would be great!

BTW, my first book will be of DS3! :earboy2:

I buy my scrap stuff everywhere (including walmart) and it's just fine. To start with, you should look into a good 12 inch paper trimmer, a pair of sharp scissors and adhesive. I don't tend to buy the scrap magazines so much anymore, maybe a holiday one here or there. I usually just look online at the gallery on www.twopeasinabucket.com. Good luck and enjoy (and don't feel like you can only buy certain supplies... you can go anywhere). :) maggie

hmmm look around at all the different albums and pick one or two that you think you would be interested in using. There are so many it would be mind boggling for someone to pick a brand for you. Write down the size, brand and color and add it to your list. Even where you saw it.

And yes I buy from Wal Mart, the dollar stores...anywhere they have supplies.

ANother good item is a organizer for your photos. You will need to have them in some sort of order when scrapping so ask for a photo safe box with dividers to keep thing easily available to you.

Have fun!

Somewhere on this site there's a list of supplies for beginners. Maybe if you search for that, it will pop up for you.

I would ask for a 12 inch paper trimmer, cutter bee scissors, and a gift certificate to my local scrapbook store where I would spend it on a beginner's class or the SDU series to get started right. In the classes you will hear a lot about adhesives and so forth.

Remember, your creative memories dealer would like very much for you to buy all CM stuff;-) I've bought stuff successfully in just about everywhere including big lots and the dollar store but you develope a feel for what's good at your LSS and really, I buy most everything there now, because I don't need to shop much.

Thanks for all the great tips, everyone!!! :goodvibes
