What should DD charge for these?

I asked on the Memorial Day thread but only got a couple responses, so I thought I'd start a new thread.

DD10 made these hair barrettes and is going to try to sell them at the "flea market" at the local library on Memorial Day. What would be a fair price? Any thoughts appreciated.

What kind of clip are they on? Without knowing I'd say a dollar or two, but more if it's on a quality clip that won't break after only a few uses.

Actually..it looks like a few of them are on the snap clips? So the decoration is hot glued on? Maybe $2.50, especially being a library fair you don't want to charge too much.

Just the cheap, metal snap-barrettes. Nothing fancy, for sure!

What did they cost her to make? Is there a fee for a table at the flea market. I would make sure to add that into the price.

I think I would pay $5 for a set of 2. $3 for a bigger single one. Maybe have a special like buy 3 sets for $12.

They probably cost about $.25 each to make. The table rental fee is only $5 and she is splitting that with her brother who is going to sell water bottles. I'm a little worried that he is going to make more (It's supposed to be 87 and sunny) and he had no "prep" work into his. Whatever, I'm just interested to see how much whining there is by the end of the 6 hours. Probably will depend on how much money they are making.

I would sell them for a quarter more than what your DS is selling water for .

Actually, it looks like there is about 40 of them, at about $.30 in supplies/fees. If she sells half of them at $1-that's $20 or $14/profit-not bad. I would price them at $2 for the small ones, $3 for the large or any combination of 3 for $7.50.

Maybe $2/set, 3 sets for $5. If its a bigger flower, add a little.
