Yes, I'm a wimp when it comes to roller coasters and anything with big drops, and I'm wondering which rides in Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios I should avoid. I would really appreciate advice and suggestions.

For some background--At Disneyland, I like Space Mountain, but was not fond of it at WDW. I don't ride Splash Mountain because of the drop. I love Big Thunder Railroad, and enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and most everything in Fantasyland. I like Matterhorn in Disneyland, and also like Indiana Jones there. Would not dream of riding Tower of Terror or California Screamin.

What do you think?

I've heard that Space Mountain is very different in the other parks. DLP version is much like Aerosmith in the Studios.

Crush in the Studios is another coaster, the parachutes have a drop similar to Tower of Terror, but nowhere near as fast. I hate TOT but love parachutes :) RC racer is not a coaster as such, but does go very high and your tummy feels like it's going to pop out the top of your head :lmao:

Indiana Jones is also a loop the loop type coaster.

If you don't like drops then I'd avoid;

Indiana Jones
Crushes Coaster (Starts smooth, then a big drop where you'll be backwards, forwards or sideways).
Tower of Terror
Parachute Drop
RC Racer

All the rest you should be good with (drop wise).

Coaster wise I'd avoid all of them if you're unsure.. I like Space Mountain myself but I refuse to ride it anymore until they can try and reduce the rattling problems... I've come off there with a headache one too many times!

Thanks for the replies! Is the drop in Crush's coaster as big as, say, Splash Mountain?

no definitely not - but its spinny.

I have only been to WDW once, many many years ago, and I honestly thought my heart was going to stop when we did Splash Mountain :scared1:.

I have got braver since then, and I do TOT (and scream my head off every single time :rotfl2:).
I've done Crush Coaster once, and have no desire to do it again (spinning doesn't agree with me, and spinning in lots of lights disagrees with me even more).

Splash mountain drop is 53ft Crushes coaster is 50ft so whilst its not as big, there's not much in it!

I dont even recall the drop on crush coaster ~ just the spinning!

hahaha daft, I told this to a family member on on of our trips, they almost killed me when we got off as they said it was a big drop! :lmao:

TBH Though, that's a great part of it.. it's a real shame crushes didn't have more of those drops!

Have done crush and splash mountain.

Much prefer splash to crush. Mind you, I did go down the crush drop backwards and then most of the rest of the ride was backwards as well.

Okay my opinion about the roller coasters at DLP:
- Space Mountain is very intense and has inversions. Far more intense than the one in Disneyland. So probably best avoided if you don't like inversions/etc!
- Big Thunder Mountain is probably similar in intensity to the one in Disneyland, but way more fun as it has its own island!
- Indiana Jones has a loop, and can be a bit rough, but is far less scary than California Screamin.
- Crush's Coaster is fun rather than scary, unless you think you might have problems with the spinning.
- Aerosmith Rock n Roller Coaster has inversions, very fun but also quite intense.
- RC Racer - this depends on how you are with going backwards and forwards...

Just wondering about these lights? Are they flashing? Daughter has strobe induced seizures. I'm used to seeing warnings here, but not sure about europe. Thanks :goodvibes

And to the OP..
Love the title of your thread! Exactly the info I need too! :rotfl:
