We are heading to WDW in a few weeks (April 6-11) and will be bringing our 6 month old daughter (2 1/2 year old son too). Since it is still cold here in NY, I am having trouble gauging what 70 and 80 degree weather is like! I would like to keep her as covered as possible to keep the sun off, but don't want her to be uncomfortably hot. I am thinking pants and short sleeve shirts, with a long sleeve sweater. Will that be too hot? Does anyone have any suggestions to help keep her out of the sun? She will be in the back of a double stroller with a canopy, but when we take her out, she will probably be in our arms or the Baby Bjorn. Thanks in advance!

When we went is Sept., our youngest was 7m. We dressed him as you should for the weather (shorts, short sleeves, occassional onesie)--a child who overheats can be in serious danger of SIDS and other problems. What basically we did (remember a child 6m can have sunscreen) was keep him under a light weight blanket that covered him and in a wide brim hat. We live in south-east TX, so this is pretty standard for us.

Our daughter was 6mths old when we went. We dressed her in onesies, light cotton dresses and tshirts - no vests. We also put a white towel on the hood of the stroller to reflect the sun, don't know how effective that was but she seemed okay. We did bring a hat but she only wore that when she was in the carrier, which wasn't very often during the day as I found it too warm.

We took our oldest when she was 3 months. Just dress them like you dress yourself. We also took a basinet size sheet and hooked it under the tray on her stroller and stretched it around the awning. It was great to keep the sun off when she was sleeping.

Today we went to MGM. I wore pants on ds(10 months) and a short sleeve shirt. By 1pm it was getting warmer, so I changed him into shorts. By 6pm it was getting way cooler and I changed him back into his pants and added a lightweight jacket. So basically bring layers and be prepared to shed in the daytime.

I've brought both of my kids that age and we're bringing our 5 mo in May. We dress them in onesies, shorts, sundresses....pants, shirt and sweater would be way too warm.
