Help! I wear Sanita clogs & Dansko shoes for work and my feet feel wonderful at the end of the day. What shoes should I buy/bring for our trip??

I would just say to bring any good comfortable shoes that are well broken in. If those shoes work for you, bring them! It's good to bring at least 2 pairs of shoes to rotate through. I also like to bring a pair of flip flops to wear if it rains or we go on a water ride.

Thanks! I didn't know if sneakers would be better...I'll pack flip flops too!

I don't know if you ever tried Fit Flops. They are so comfortable. They come in a ton of styles. I wear them & switch off with sneakers.

My suggestion would be a well broken in pair of anything that will be comfortable for you to be in 10-14 hours in a day. I always bring a pair of sneakers and a pair of flip flops, and rotate between them. My favorite and most comfortable flip flops are Sanuk. They are made from recycled yoga mats and my feet don't hurt at the end of a full day/night in the parks. (http://www.sanuk.com/)

The thing is different people are comfortable in different footwear, don't wear sneakers if that's not comfortable for you, and make sure whatever you do, they are broken in. Not a good idea to break in those new running shoes at Disney.

Agreed! There's nothing worse than trying to beak it new shoes, but make sure you have at least two pairs. I like to bring along my running shoes for a nice morning/afternoon/evening run. :goodvibes

I usually pack a pair of tennis shoes and wear flip flops for the flight down that I can wear if I need. We don't have any kids yet, so our trips are always adults only. Somehow I feel like adult only trips lead to WAY more walking than my feet can handle. It is typical for us to leave our resort early morning, visit at minimum 3 parks, and return after the park closes. Since that is hours on my feet and miles upon miles of walking, the type shoes I wear really doesn't seem to matter in terms of what "feels" better. I did get a tip from my chiropractor a few years ago that I swear by. At the end of the day, put biofreeze gel on your feet before you go to bed. It does seem to offer some relief for tired feet!

If your job has you on your feet and walking a lot, then worth bringing them.
I made the mistake of wearing some "keds" type sneakers with a light sock years ago and go the worse blisters because my feet sweat and the socks couldn't absorb the sweat. I ended up buying some crocks in the gift shops and those with socks helped me be able to enjoy the rest of my vacation. Just not my preferred style but light and might come with me this next trip just in case I need them.

The beginning of the summer I bought two pairs of RYKA sneakers that are very light weight and have been in them all summer. Love them. They are more comfortable and when I walked the Relay for Life this year, I had no problems with blisters or hot spots as I usually do. So that is what I'm packing.

I do have some flip flops recommended to me by a chiropractor. They are made by Spenco and I love them. But I do find I have to switch them out after a long day on my feet. and if my feet get wet I do have to wipe the water off because they can tend to slide. (as would any flip flop for me)

As a safety bring mole skin or by the foot treatment (can't think of the name) that people use before they put on socks to help prevent friction.
I also heard antiperspirant on the feet helps too.

Love the comment about Biofreeze at night. What a good idea.

Loving all of the suggestions! I am taking these suggestions and finding them on Zappos (which I love for their selection and customer service!), adding them to my "favorites" so that I have them for future reference. I always seem to forget what I've learned of when it comes time to make a purchase! Thanks everyone!

Great idea!! I just bought some Merrell barefoot shoes and they are super light & comfy!! Should so the trick!!

Teva mush flip flops came up frequently when I was looking for wdw show recommendations. I'm
breaking mine in right now and so far they are incredibly comfortable.

I live in my Ohana OlaKai flip flops down there. They are a little more expensive than other flip flops, but worth every penny. I always carry at least two pairs of them. I also like the Cobian Braided Bounce. They are alot like the old originial Teva Mush, but squishier with a little more arch support.

I agree that you should always wear shoes that have been well broken in and fit your feet well. Now that I have put in that disclaimer the shoe I like to wear is the Merrell Stellabloom. This is my absolute favorite shoe for both WDW and for home during warm weather. I also like to take a pair of Keen Whispers for days when it looks like it might rain a lot. I had these during a fall trip a couple of years ago and they worked really well during an especially rainy couple of days.
