What scrapping pages copy the best??

I am considering making a family tree album for myself, my brother and my two double first cousins (sisters married brothers, hence I have double first cousins). What I would like to do is make the scrapping pages and keep the originals myself and make nice color copies for the other three (it would be too time consuming to do "real" pages for everyone).

What kinds of things have you used (and not used) on pages you intended to copy? What works and what doesn't??

Obviously I wouldn't use anything with any real depth, like brads, eyelets, buttons, fibers. Mostly just papers, cardstock, stickers, die cuts.

Was there anything out there that you thought would copy well and didn't?? And where do you get your copying done? Kinkos?? Copy Max?? Staples??
Who does the best job (and the best price)?

Thanks for any and all help...................P

Why not create a page with depth? I scan and print my pages and the pages with depth look as good as the original.

Well.... I guess I figured that the depth wouldn't show up well. Interesting to hear that it does!...........P

Or what about copying the original, do not add the depth items to the orignal before making the copies. Add the brads, eyelets, ribbon, etc. after you copy the original to the original and the copies.

I know thaqt you can copy the 8"x11" but does anyone copy the 12"x12"? I saw a sign at my local Staples last week that for a limited time color copies are .39$. So this might be an incentive to do it sooner than later.

Well, I probably won't be getting access to the photos I need until Thanksgiving. So this will end up being one of those "rush" jobs right before the holidays!................P

Our Office Max can copy something like 11.5 x11.5 or 11 x 14. A little gets cut off each page, but it can get very expensive. I had some copied there for a DT submission and it was $30 :earseek: for less than 20 copies with my advantage card. I have heard that some other copy places can do 12 x 12.

I always make color copies of my pages for the grandparents and ribbons, eyelets, Jolee's, etc. all copy just fine. The one thing to avoid when you are making color copies is metallics. They often just turn out black. Just FYI. Good luck!

I would do 8.5 x 11 just to save on copying. I'm sure it will be MUCH cheaper.

I may end up going that route for the scrapbooks I'm going to make for my late husbands kids.. That way I could copy them right here at the house.. :flower:
