What room to request at RPR

We are going to the RPR ( for the first time!) Ive booked this as a Birthday surprise for my DH ( h has always wanted to do this) we are in a standard room Fri 20th and Sat 21st Oct. we have a 4 yr old DD with us.

What rooms have the best views, ie over pool and parks?
What room is close to pool? and close to road/walkways to get to IOA and US?

Whats best way to request a certain room or area? Can I email them in advance. I joined Lowes.

Im so excited DH has NO idea!

You can call the hotel directly (best bet) or fax the request (altho, I was told the fax went to the business center and they didn't have a record of my faxes...just what I phoned in and put on my original res).

You have to read the all mighty RPR room assignment thread.

Pool view doesn't matter that much. Most people want the view of the parks from Tower 1. Yes, it's a good idea to call them, make sure your reservation is still on file, and then ask for room 1733 or something close to it.
