What rides to NOT go on?

I don't enjoy drops either, though as a previous poster mentioned, if the drop is going around a curve, that mitigates it for me. That said, there is a drop in Pirates. I feel it, know it's there. It is tolerable to me, but I could see it being a problem for some. My DD20 won't do it. Splash . . no no no and yet my son makes me do it with him every year lol.

Seven Dwarves is amazingly smooth. The drops in that didn't bother me in the least. Big Thunder also doesn't bother me. I avoid Space Mountain for fear it will anger the bad disc in my back. I avoid Primevil Whirl for the same reason . . .and just looking at that one makes me feel nauseous.

Expedition Everest . . . surprisingly, that didn't really bother me. It is FAST, there is a section of it that goes backwards, and there is a hell of a drop, but the drop is curving, and I was fine on it. Tot no way. RnRC I want to try, just haven't made it yet.

Big Thunder Mountain has some drops, doesn't it? nothing huge, but if we are listing Pirates drop, I would think BTM should be listed as well.

We ride everything so it's so hard for us to advise others because we don't experience anything but the rush of the thrill. However we would avoid any attractions that have motion sickness warnings on the park guidemaps. That would probably be a good place to start!

...this is of no help at all, but I think I was just convinced to try RnRC thanks to this thread.

I enjoy the small drop in POTC but my 7yo freaked a little. He was also terrified of Kali, a bit, but afterward said that one was okay.

Hate coasters and drops. I can do POTC and Kali, although both give me the briefest moment of "yikes". I've also done Test Track - tho the speed for the outdoor part did make me hold my breath for a few seconds. Yes, I am a ride coward! But I'm planning (ha!) on doing Splash and 7DMT this upcoming trip. I don't think I could do BTMRR and definitely couldn't do Space, EE or RNR. But I'm fine skipping those rides and don't feel left out.

Oh and I also did the family raft ride at Blizzard Beach. That was a bit crazy for me!

As far as simulators go, (Star Tours) if a 'drop' feeling bothers you then just close your eyes for that part. Then you'll just feel the ride cart tilt.

If simulators bother you, then you may also want to avoid Mission Space, especially the orange side.

Test Track is fine.

Another idea is to start with tame rides, and work your way to more borderline ones, like Space Mtn. All the motion will desensitize you.

Space Mtn does have some drops, but they are all quite small.

BTMRR has some small drops, but they are also pretty tame. Further, if you sit up front, you'll hardly drop at all. In most traditional coasters, the front is more tame than the rear because the coaster doesn't 'release' until the back of the train clears the hill.

Primeval Whirl also has some drops, but they are small, and clearly visible before you ride.

I love BTMRR but hate Splash with a passion. The drop terrifies me.

Do you go upside down on it? Does your head get bumped around? I usually wait with my youngest but my daughter wants me to try it and I hate roller coasters.

True story: It was my first coast with a loop and didn't know until like.. a year after I went on it when someone told me. I was terrified of the idea of the loops so if I had known before hand, I would have chickened out, lol. So, yeah, it's pretty smooth. :)

Is it speed or drops that you don't like, or both? I'm only asking because Rock N' Roller coaster doesn't really have any drops, although it does have a couple very smooth loops.

I don't mind speed (or simulators for that matter), it's really just the whole g-force-stomach-in-your-throat that gets to me. Maybe I'm a puker and I don't know it, and my body is just like "Hey, don't do that!". Not interested in finding out in the matter.

Space Mountain was too much of a drop for me. I feel every little drop. I've done Mission Space in orange and I just cringe while I feel like dropping. But on actual rides/coasters...nopenopenope

Just put your head back!

the 7 dwarves was one of the smoothest rides I've ever had. Yes it had drops, but they tend to curve around a corner, so it mitigates it. You might want to try that.
Yes, put your head back during the launch, after that it's smooth sailing.

7DMT is smoother in the front than the back. And little ones always hit their heads, YDS won't ride without my arm there.
