What Rides Are Overhyped?

You obviously are over the age of 3 ;) My 2 and 3 yo boys thought it was the best thing to ever happen in their young lives. We went during a slow time and the cm let us ride it 2 times in a row w/out getting out. when we did have to get out, I had to pull both boys out crying and had to literally drag them screaming and crying up the stairs to the exit. :rotfl: So, it does provide entertainment value: to my boys and to all the people who watched me drag them off the ride. :rotfl2:

LOL... :rotfl2:

Sorry--you're right--I am way way over 3 and shouldn't judge for that age group!!! Apologize to the boys for me!

Happy Brat your little girl is adorable!!

Thank you!! :goodvibes
I'm counting down the days to get to China for her.

I'm going to have to say Test Track too. OOOH, we're on a really hot room, oooh we're in a really cold room, oooh I drive faster than this around town and that doesn't include the how fun it is when I accidentally hit a curb at high speed.... :rotfl2:

For me it is POTC. I do enjoy the air conditioned ride during the middle of the day though.

I'll list one for each park:
Magic Kingdom - The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Epcot - Mission Space
MGM - Little Mermaid
Animal Kingdom - Dinosaur

Mission space! I was so sick when I got off. dh and i just sat on the bench for like 10 minutes...

This is sandi's daughter, Hi! Deff Mission Space. I thought it was gonna be sooo cool, and i never get motion sickness on anything. but sure as ever, both my mother and i flet totally nauseous the whole day after Riding mission space. I can't blame it on the fact that i ate something prior to riding then gotten sick, because i chose not to eat anything because i knew i was going to ride it.(Duh, put 2 and 2 together!!) I was planning on getting this huge stake dinner at the really nice Canadian resturant in Epcot, but i felt so sick that i only had half of my huge Ceaser Salad !!

Maelstrom...back when it first opened, I remember seeing the commercials for it, and thinking how scary it must be, how exciting, etc. Then I get there, and it has one little drop, and the whole ride is only a minute...I like it okay and will ride again, but definetly not what I expected.

Soarin'. It's all right, but I don't understand waiting over an hour for it. 30 minutes is about it for me. The ride is better though if you end up on the front row center section. No feet dangling in front of you to wreck the illusion.

Another vote for Test Track. We waited in line for this rate at least 3 times, and it broke down each time before we finally got to ride it the last trip. Definitely not worth all the waits.

Test Track - I'm really not sure what it is about this ride that people get so excited about. It was mildly interesting, but not thrilling at all.

Kali River Rapids - Great theme and good to cool off, but it is way too short and only has one real drop.

Stitch. Everyone in our party from 7 to 70 years old thought it was a waste of time.

Okay, I'm probibly the only one who thinks this, but Fantasmic did nothing for me. Saw it the first time after sitting in a steady downpour for 1 1/2 hours. So I thought maybe that was it. Went back on the next trip. Still nothing.

Mission Space, it was fun but not as amazing as it was made out to be

I would have to say Soarin' was WAYYYY over hyped. Its a cool ride but not worth these long waits. You aren't even really moving. You go up and then you watch a movie and then you come down. When we went in August we could only go one time because every time we tried the wait was 1 to 32 hours and we could never get a fast pass. Just My Opinion :confused3

Yea, I might need to add this to my list w/ Test Track. I liked it ok but nothing near the hype, crowds, wait for it.

No one has mentioned this yet, so I'm probably picking someone's favorite-

I didn't like Splash Mountain. It's just like IASW, but with a big drop at the end. The first 95% of the ride is too boring for thrill seekers, the last 5% is too much for people who like the kiddie part. I guess I'm in the thrill seekers part, and didn't care for the rest of it.
