What ride terrifies you?

I will add a new one to the list- Dinosaur! Rode it for the first time when AK first opened and I was so scared! Have tried to go on it the last few times at DW but have either chickened out or closed my eyes the whole time. I just don't like the dinosaurs popping out at you and the darkness of the ride. I have actually heard that they toned this ride down since the park first opened.

I also would have to say the Astro Orbiters are scary! I have also felt that I was going to fall out of the thing!

However, I do ride ToT and MS and love both of them!

If you think something has been "toned down" you'll have to be specific as to exactly what it was.

When it first opened it was one big drop (maybe 2, but all the way up and down) for me, personally, it was waaaaay scarier that way. And the kids thought it was more exciting. But if you think it's scarier and more fun now, great! :)

Astro Orbiter! I rode it late at night and thought I was going to fall out! I was screaming my head off and was just waiting for it to end! Horrible :lmao:

I second the teacups, I can ride MS but will never ride the Teacups!

Mission Space ( I refuse to go on it) and Tower of Terror (I always feel like those seat belts are gonna unlatch at any minute and I'll be hurled against the roof of the cage).

I second Dinosaur in AK. It terrifies me every time. I won't stop riding it, however because I think it is just great visually.

I have a question for all the people that say Mission:Space scares them. Does it scare you or are you just wary of riding something that will make you sick?

I take scaring as something that terrifies or frightens you. Just my thoughts.

towere of terror.......uh no thanks....also the ride in epcott where the boy died that space one.......

I'm a HUGE chicken...don't like roller coasters or spinning things. I'm one of the few who can honestly say I've never been on any of the following:

Space Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Splash Mountain
Haunted Mansion (got lost in a haunted house as a kid, scarred me for life!)
Teacups
Astro Orbiter
Dinosaur (I agree...dinos jumping out at me in the dark - no thanks!)
Mission Space
TOT
Test Track
Dumbo (NOT from fear, just something I've never been on!)

Some would say I'm really missing out on some great rides...I say, leave the long lines to everyone else, I'm content riding Peter Pan! (Did I mention I'm 35 years old?! :confused3 )

The Haunted Mansion!! Oh, and the Alien part in Great Movie Ride, I always have to hide under my hat!

I'm not the only one. Its the sudden things that scare me so the last room in the Hanunted Mansion where the witches pop up from behind the cemetary stones and the aliens that come from the celing in the Great Movie Ride. I know it sounds silly. But but even if it were Mickey poping out of no where in front of my face that would scare me too.

The Tower of Terror ! I do not enjoy the dropping/free-fall feeling. Mission Space used to be on my "not going to happen" list but now that they have the mild version I might try it.

I would never have chosen "Peter Pan" as an example of a ride without LONG LINES!

Ok....so many people wrote about Mission Space. Can anyone tell me where this ride is, is it an actual roller coaster or a simulator? I would have thought someone would have wrote about the aerosmith ride....I'm a little scared of the thought of that one. :sad2:

The four rides that scared me were alien encounter, the alien part of The Great Movie Ride, TOT and dinosaur. But I have to say that's why these are some of my favourite rides  . I love having that scared feeling, but unfortunately you loose some of it the more times you go on these rides

It doesn't "terrify" me, but I won't ride the Tea Cups and I probably won't ride M:S intense version. I simply don't do well on spinning rides. You can drop me from a 400+ foot lift hill on a super giga coaster and I'll be smiling from ear to ear, but spin me around in circles for more than 1 minute and I'm sick to my stomach for hours.

Space Mountain had me crying within the first 15 seconds. I was absolutely terrified. Nope. Not ever again. :)

Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet... but it's gotta be 'It's A Small World.' That song alone is enough to cause nightmares!

The only ride I hate to go on is the one from my resort to MCO!!!!!!!!!!!

Tower of Terror. I rode it once, never again.

I second this!!!! I HATE Tower of Terror....I rode it once, just to see....NEVER NEVER again....

It's not in Disney, but DEFINATELY the Jaws ride in Universal. I have this terrible fear of sharks and deep water and the Jaws ride is like something out of my nightmares. I rode it once when I was 11 because everyone was going on and I was too little to stay by myself somewhere. I hunched into the fetal position, closed my eyes, held my ears, and cried. Unfortunately once the shark was "dead" I looked up and the charboiled shark lurched. That was it. Never again.

To this day, I don't even like being in the Amity Island section of the park. I'll stick to Disney, thank you very much!

Snow White! :rotfl2: I've conquered my fear of it now but a couple of years ago I kept my eyes shut! :scared: It's cos it's not a really scary ride, it's just creepy! :teeth:
