Have to agree with the old 'Chef Mickeys'. I can still taste the pork chop with red cabbage and appelsauce....YUMMY. Remember the big balloon basket that Mickey brought to the table for special occasions!!
I forget what this restaurant was called before it was Chef Mickeys but they had a bar where my husband used to sit and wait while I shopped. They had great puffy garlic bread that they served with Marinara sauce...YUMMY!
Cap'n Jack's just doesn't cut it when Fultons is right around the corner. Speaking of Fultons...remember when it was the Empress Lilly with 2-3 restuarants? We loved the bar downstairs with the sing-along atmosphere. We were young, it was corny but there sure wasn't much to do at night and it beat going back to the room at 10 PM. No Pleasure Island then!
Miss the old Narcoosee's menu with steaks and yards of beer. Like the new menu, too, but sometimes it is just too noveau!
Also miss Top of the World.....it was great for a charming, romantic evening that few knew about. Now it's a mob scene!! MMM....remember the old bread at the Concourse Steakhouse. We lucked into it one night...it filled a plate and was a cross between a bread and a roll that you pulled apart. We always took some back to the room for a midnight snack.
Remember when the World Showcase regularly stayed open until MIDNIGHT! We just strolled around eating, drinking and watching. We're night owls, so we loved this! Now you have to go during a holiday for them to stay open after 9 PM.
