OK, the World has some great restaurants. But there's always more that can be done. If you could build whatever you wanted, what would you do?
My ideas:
1. Put something upscale on top of the buildings at the front of EPCOT (maybe on top of where Guest Services is). It would have to be built so as to not detract from Spaceship Earth, obviously, but I'd like to see something where you can sit by a window and have a great view of the lake and World Showcase.
2. Put something decent in the American Adventure! There are great America chefs and cuisine out there. Leave the hamburger joint where it is, but give me a great American table-service venue.
3. An expensive experience on the old Discovery Island. I realize there are all kinds of issues with the island, but it would be cool to get dressed up, take a boat over there and spend a nice, calm evening relaxing.
4. A tree-house restaurant in the Animal Kingdom. Again, something up high in the trees, either overlooking the savannah or the Tree of Life.
5. I also think the Magic Kingdom is lacking in table-service restaurants. Maybe there's just not a call for it, but I'd personally like to spend the day in the MK, sit down for a nice relaxing dinner, and then watch Spectromagic and Wishes. I always find that when I go with a group of adults, they want to leave the MK for a decent dinner. We never make it back for fireworks. If we eat another hamburger, they all end up irritated and don't enjoy the rest of the night.
Other ideas?

! We, too, prefer the TS restaurants outside MK so we end up leaving for dinner. I find the selection of TS places limited.
