I already booked and knew POFQ was booked for our week but I was doing Coronado. I was SO excited I was able to get the whole week yesterday since Expedia showed some days SOLD OUT.

Post what dates and resorts you attempted and could not get and what you ended up with.

THANKS!!!!!

I was going to book a standard room at WL but was told I could only get the free dining package with a woods view room. We didn't really want the free dining anyway so I just booked a standard room without it, it's what we decided we would spend. I had been hoping a good code would have come out so we could stay at the Boardwalk. Alas it was not to be. Oh well :confused3

All-Star Movies standard rooms were sold out for our trip so we had to go preferred. Our stay is 09/24-10/2.

Keep in mind that some people booked and will not pay by due time, so the rooms will reopen up. I just helped someone book POP Sept 27 - Oct 4th. It took many days to find it open. We actually had a lot of choices yesterday, none of which had been available. So keep trying, if at first you don't get what you wish.

Free Dining package sold out at POFQ, WL & Coronado for 10/3-10/10 when I called a few days ago.

Wow, I knew POFQ was sold out but I was able to get Coronado - 2 rooms for 10/1 to 10/9 yesterday without hesitation. You might want to try and call back again today.

Isn't the difference in price for the room about $35.00. If your going to be paying rack rate anyway & eating during the week, you might want to change it.

I couldn't get the free dining at Coronado for my dates 9/15-9/19. Had to settle for All-Star Sports (at least the boys will like it....)

got mine monday at CR garden wing water view but my TA said after she spoke with me they only had tower rooms available....and they were about 500 bucks more  very happy with what I got...

Are there only a limited number of rooms with the free dining plan?
Yes.

I got POR through DU after CRO told me it was sold out, and could only book me at CBR for 10/2 - 10/8.

I agree with your point--the price is $35 a night difference.

I call the other day and the ASM was sold out.A mean disney lady told me, nothing but music was left! :confused3
So I want to a TA today and had to settle for the movies. My DD was so sad. She so had her heart staying at the movies. :smooth: I told her we can still go swim in the other pools and get your picture taken at the dalamation building!
But let me tell you the TA had no idea about the free dinning. I had to give him the code. Luckily I brought it with me. He then had to call Disney and book it direclty with them. He could not get me hopper passes with the free dinning through his computer.
But I am booked so right now I dont care!
:cool1: I AM GOING TO DISNEY!!!!! :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

Oh yes, you have to do dining - even if there was only 2 of you, you would eat more then $35 plus taxes and gruitity a day, esp at Disney prices. I hate to see someone overpay!!

c

sometimes things pop up - if you really want movies keep trying.

If you really want a certain resort keep trying. We wanted Movies with the free dining in a standard room and all that was availabe when we booked was preferred so we went ahead and booked it because we still came out ahead....but we PREFER a standard room (price and we like the Toy Story buildings)....so I asked my DU agent to just periodically try for a standard room with a package if she could. I got an email from her this morning letting me know we were now in a standard room on the package. So things do open up. Book what you can live with but keep trying.
