What resorts for FTP?

Hi all - just wondering: I received an e-mail from Disney telling me about the FTP and it's availability for booking until 6/29/03. My question is this - the info. in the e-mail, and online at the WDW website, says that it's available at a WDW Value resort, but I'm mostly reading posts about people staying at deluxe resorts with this package. Can anyone explain the discrepancy? Thanks!

As far as I can tell the FTP is available with every level of resort. What will make the difference is availability of the particular resort during the dates that you want. For example, we wanted the Contemporary but it wasn't available when we wanted it so had to take another resort.

The confusion is that the Walt Disney" Resort" is Disney World, they consider Disney world itself to be a resort area. On these boards we call the hotels, resorts . It does make it a bit confusing, but the FTP is good at all hotels in the WDW resort.

I think the confusion also comes from the website. When they are quoting that price of $499, that is the price for the FTP per person at one of the value resorts. They are displaying that price because it's the least expensive and they are trying to lure people in.

You can stay anywhere that's available with the FTP- we're staying at the WL!

I would recommend booking soon. From what I have heard, this is very popular and the rooms are going quickly.

Thank you all for your help - the advertisement IS confusing, because it specifically says "...one of Disney's Value Resorts..."
